On this episode, Dan and I discuss Crash Bandicoot fans, the decable around IGN's statements on Palestine, a leaked synopsis for the Sonic The Hedgehog movie sequel, a controversial Skyward Sword amiibo, Cruis'N Blast possibly coming to Switch, and TimeSplitters being revived. Then we end on some rumours and debating the quality of Homefront for some reason.

Something to note about Peer is that last June a number of employees at IGN came forward about sexual harassment and abuse they had endured from higher ups back at IGN. One victim stated that Peer was aware of all of this and remaind complicit, despite having the ability to put an end to it. I used to be a big fan of IGN's Nintendo podcast, but between Brian Altano sticking his neck out for the "good cops" during the BLM protest last year and that situation w/ Peer I just couldnt engage w/ it anymore despite great talent like Tom Marks and Casey DeFreitas. Employees are overworked and crunched and most editors leave after only a couple years. They burn out their staff w/ the expectation that they'll be more to harvest next season. Theres still wonderful new talented writers employed there, but its muddled by veterans like Ryan Mcaffery and Dan Stapleton.

Wow. Excellent comment, Arshbir. I couldn't agree more with what you said. I have to ask though - where did Brian Altano say that? I completely missed that.

Looks like Brian deleted the tweet, but heres a cpl responses I found to it pointing out what was wrong with what he said https://twitter.com/ZiggyStarbutts/status/1267141189041631232?s=19 https://twitter.com/USSStellarDrift/status/1267153780140720129?s=19 https://twitter.com/m_thirds/status/1267145835898421250?s=19 https://twitter.com/m_thirds/status/1267147420712022026?s=19 https://twitter.com/rahul_xboxps/status/1267142281670336512?s=19 https://twitter.com/RGVgreg/status/1267149031068893184?s=19 He grew up in NYC and went too art school there and was reminiscing about the "good and honourable" cops he knew. Felt the need to say this while cops were brutalizing protestors and were murdering black people nationwide. Ik he means well and hopefully learned from that, but he and many of his colleagues live in their San Fran bubble. Another past IGN editor (who is not black) tweeted out something along the lines of "Black Women. Thats the tweet" when that demographic led the win in a decisive election last year. Glorifying them like that puts a target on their back and the weight and responsibility for social progress on their shoulders, despite them being marginalized. Ik they want to use their platforms to speak out for whats right, but its so often just completely tone deaf. That said, recently theyve gotten better at amplifying voices of experts rather than speaking ignorantly and I can only commend that. Also, here are the victim's tweets stating *someone* (heavily implying it was Peer) knew about the abuse going on in the office and doing nothing about it, albeit having the authority to do so. https://twitter.com/inkydojikko/status/1275296044549455872?s=19 https://twitter.com/inkydojikko/status/1275344157167345665?s=19 The only "reaction guy" at IGN while this employee was there was Peer. Matt and Craig had left in 2010 while the victim was their from April 2015 - December 2016. Chadd Chambers, the other reaction guy, was an intern who also left, but cant find any other info on him, but fairly certain he wasnt at IGN for long. Apologies for this huge dump of text, but just wanted to provide evidence for everything I had said.
