Hey, everyone. I wanted to write out a personal update for you, my biggest supporters, about what I'm currently working on and addressing my so far brief absence.

I've recently suffered a death in my family that has caused me to take a bit of time away from regular podcasting. I already wasn't in the best frame of mind when I got this news and felt the need to take a short break in order to grieve. I haven't felt up to continuing it thus far, but I plan to return to it before the end of the month. Sorry for any inconvenience and I hope you all stick around until then.

Although I haven't felt like doing podcasts and being sociable, I have been hard at work on content. For whatever reason, it is sometimes when I am at my lowest that I am able to focus and hone in on whatever project I'm working on. It has helped me take my mind off everything, so that's something.

Anyway, enough of my moping bullshit. I have been working hard on a potentially very long video about the rise and fall of the Epic Mickey series and Disney Interactive. It goes in-depth on how the original game was made, development troubles of the second one, cancelled sequels and spin-offs, then how it all fell apart. It covers *a lot* of different projects and could easily end up being the longest video I've ever done. I think even if you're not a fan of the series, you might find it interesting. Anyone remotely interested in Disney will get something out of this, I hope.

For this video, I've been very lucky to have the participation of numerous former Disney/Junction Point staff including the lead designer of both games. I've reached out to series director Warren Spector as well to give him an opportunity to take part, but I don't think he's interested. Regardless, expect lots of new info, never before seen stuff, and a ton of interesting insight into the behind the scenes.

I'm hoping to finish the video before the end of the month, so stay tuned and stay safe. Thank you again so much for your support.

Take care of yourself, Liam. Loss is hard and complex. My father died suddenly back in April and I’ve been struggling to get back into a consistent groove ever since. Sending positive thoughts.

That is very sad to hear. I hope you’ve been taking good care of yourself, Liam. The Epic Mickey video sounds exciting but don’t feel guilty if you need to take a break here and there during production
