Exclusive: Darksiders 3 Rumoured To Be In Development (Patreon)

With THQ Nordic re-releasing both Darksiders and Darksiders 2, it should come as no surprise to hear that rumours of a third entry in the series are starting to surface. A couple of sources close to the company have cited that Darksiders 3 is indeed happening and is currently targeting a 2018 launch across multiple platforms.

I was not able to have the rumoured list of platforms which I received corroborated at the time of writing this post, so I have chosen to omit it for now.

Multiple sources have alleged that a third game is being worked on by numerous returning developers who worked on the first and second installments. THQ Nordic is reportedly striving to strengthen their brand with a number of titles intended to begin a push towards more higher quality software for them, which will eventually include Darksiders 3.

My Take

As with any rumour like this, take it with a pinch of salt and meet it with reasonable expectations. There's always a chance it couldn't pan out, or we could end up witnessing some behind the scenes trouble like we are with Skylanders at the moment. I just thought it would be interesting to share and discuss.
