Multiple sources have provided the first details of BioWare's upcoming new property, which is currently set to have its full reveal at E3 2017. The project has been in development at BioWare's Edmonton offices where it has been tightly under wraps for several years. Now, as we approach its announcement, that veil of secrecy is unravelling.

The project is currently being referred to simply as 'Dylan'. There's no word yet on whether or not that name is temporary or a codename. Given the fact that the title hasn't shifted since an early stage in its development and there are no other names for it currently, there's a possibility it actually might not be subject to change. I suppose we'll see.

Dylan is a sci-fi themed game that is being compared to Destiny and Ubisoft's The Division - an action adventure game with MMO elements. It is currently set to release on Xbox One and Playstation 4. I have not yet been able to nail down a PC release, but BioWare's history would lead me to assume there will be one. There's no word on a Nintendo Switch version so far.

The project encompasses what BioWare Edmonton considers to be its most talented developers. A handful of them were even hand picked away from Mass Effect: Andromeda by BioWare's management for excelling in their duties. This is a game being made by some of the industry's most capable men and women. Expectations within EA are understandably high.

'Dylan', as it is currently known as, is set to launch in 2018. I will hopefully be able to obtain some more thorough details in the future.

Dylan was first discussed during #12 of the Liam Rambles podcast.
