Hey everybody!

Hit me with your questions! Ask me about anything: The PAW Patrol video, my research process, or any of those shows in the Roundup. Hell, ask me about something else, make up your own mind. What, do you want me to ask and answer all the questions? Pull your own weight!

I'll post the link here as always but I'll be live on Sunday 9/11 @ 5pm PDT so submit your questions before then

I got my sibling hooked into Copaganda and we enjoyed watching the PAW Patrol installment the other night--I always appreciate your ability to treat seriously the ideas and information that are worthy of serious contemplation without sacrificing humor. (The costume was also hilarious.) I'm curious: are there any videos you've really wanted to make but worry they wouldn't draw enough engagement? Odd rabbit holes you'd follow if you knew there was an audience for them?

Considering the date this seems like a gimme -- where were you on 9/11/2001?

I just started watching better call saul for the first time! Two things came to mind. FIRST, do BCS and Breaking Bad venture into copaganda at times? I think the answer is yes. For example, watching season one of BCS when Jimmy is a defense attorney I feel like the show doesn't really spend time on him defending clients who are innocent or or victims of poverty. Instead it's all about the gross screwed up people he is defending. SECOND, BCS sometimes feels like it's a sitcom to me even though it is clearly a drama overall. Biggest "sitcom esque" moment to me is when he is in the nursing home dumpster looking for evidence. Do you have any thoughts on how BCS uses sitcom writing techniques or structures throughout the series? Do you think that other shows could learn something from the BCS approach to comedy? EDIT: Sorry, I just thought of one more question related to the paw patrol video. I know I ask you a lot of questions when you do these. I'll try to cut back. In the video you mention how we expect the police to solve lots of problems that they aren't necessarily equipped to solve or even best suited to solve. When researching the video did you come across the proposal that we should stop using police for traffic stops/traffic control? If you did, did you consider touching on this proposal the video at any point and do you think this idea has merit? Personally I feel like this is a method of defunding the police that you could get strong political support for if you found way to "market" it correctly, and I'm surprised there hasn't been a greater push to get this to happen among the general public. It wouldn't fix everything, but I feel like you could get a lot of white liberals on board by saying something like "the police have so much to do. They should be catching thieves and murders, not wasting their time giving tickets for parking violations. Lets create a new department of traffic safety so that the cops can focus on saving lives and don't have to waste their time with boring repetitive tasks!"

What did you think of the ending of Lucifer, and how do you feel about the show's view on guilt/redemption/hell/punishment given the overall arc and ending? Any good anti-copaganda shows on your radar? What's an underrated show more people should be watching? Also, have you seen Counterpart? Because I think you might like Counterpart, and it's my personal "not enough people watched this excellent thing" show.

Won't be able to watch it live this time but I do have several questions I forgot to ask you in the previous streams. What's your opinion on Sons Of Anarchy? My roomate and I have a pact where we take turns showing each other one season of the shows we like; I've shown him Strike Back and Banshee, and he's showing me SOA. We just finished season 4 and I find myself spending 80% of the episodes runtime bored out of my skull, same with each season. The last three episodes of each season are usually pretty good, with lots of stuff hapenning, but the rest of it is a slog to get through, though I try to hide it as it's one of his favourite shows. Each season is 13 episodes long, and I feel the show would fare much better with a 10 or 8 episodes format. Am I in the minority here? Do you think that House M.D counts as a "difficult men" show? Who's your favourite non media analysis-related youtuber? Have a nice sunday!

I just finished Steven Universe. Loved every minute of it. I’d love to hear your thoughts on cartoon viewing as an grown-up. Any that have impressed you? Any series we’re sleeping on?

Counterpart was great, especially season 1. They crafted a great "cold war" type atmosphere in modern times. JK Simmons is so good in it.
