Spin that wheel! After a hefty lore dump, our first crew of heroes start their adventure! This ep has some classic fantasy stuff like cars with feet for wheels, VIP passes, and cabbage soup!

(Separately there's a giant Obelisk that crashed into some mountains a few decades ago. Almost forgot that part!)

who does the music/where is it from? it's wonderful x

Josnak

Can't wait to listen!! Btw Zac, it would be really neat if you could activate patreon's RSS feed function, that way people can listen to the podcast with their favourite app. :)

The Two

Yes please to RSS! Looking forward to this

Quitebadweather

'Okay hi, this is the first episode of...Podcast.' Podcast is my new favourite podcast. I'm fully invested.

A friend Dave Harrington did the theme song but all other music is sourced from Epidemic Sound a royalty free music site!

Orpheus

Ummm how did I get here? Guess I’ll camp out and enjoy

CurseARealSword

I've never been an early adopter before. Makes me feel all cool and stuff

Maia Costea

I needed more Mike Trapp playing DnD in my life, such a delightful surprise, good luck man! <3 Concept's great, ep was great, hope it does super well!

Solène Margueret

What's the name of the town again? I keep hearing Aberdeen and my wee Scottish heart is fluttering! Great episode, can't wait to hear more!

DK Benjamin

the rss feed isn't working for my Pocket Cast app (android). anyone have tips?

Casey Carson

So excited to listen to this! ❤️

Colleen Kendle

very, very into this debut immediately after an obelisk appears in the utah desert, we love guerilla marketing!!!

Dana A

only emily axford could make me love a horse girl so much 😂 so excited about this pod, love the dynamic so far!!!!

DBolt

Super exciting! Great crew and can't wait for more

Savannah Myers-Gaines

Just for future ties, you go with whoever has the higher modifier! If they are ties again, reroll or home rule :-)

KaijuGeek

This is like an early Christmas present. Zac is a really fun DM so far! And more CH/Dropout D&D Podcasts is always a great thing. Love you guys.

Nate Zabinski

Welp, I've scoured the socials to find out which bard college Trapp's character is, and I've come up empty.

Frankenjam

Hi Zac, long time listener first time caller. My question is: is the obelisk inspired by the one recently discovered in Utah? Love the podcast already!

Joel Boyd

Listening from work, so keen for another Ch crew based DND actual play to add to my weekly lineup

Emily

I'm already in love with this! What a cast!

Patrik Axelsson

Loving the idea of short arcs in a shared world with a rotating cast, looking forward to hearing more!

Sophie Isabella

Incredible start to a great idea!! Love these character concepts and can't wait to see this project grow!!

David Swann

Already obsessed with this. Everyone sounds like they're having so much fun <3

Scott Meldrum

A fantastic addition to the D20/NADDPOD family

Terran Benedict

Thanks for making this Zac! I’m so happy to be joining the rotating family!

Judd Morse

Super fun episode, looking forward to more! Thanks to NADDPOD for doing a feed drop and getting me into it!

Caoimhe

I love how whimsical this is, and so funny!

Garrett Morrow

I love when Siobhan plays sassy characters!

Ferret

Hey Zac, is the speaker effect on the obelisk's announcements done in post or is it something you're doing in session, and if the latter what software are you using?

Terran Benedict

Zac I absolutely love the Willy Wonka vibes of all this. Was that planned? The similarities on your part with the mix of Emily and Siobhan’s characters relating to much to Charlie and Veruca???

David Heintz

Love the idea, love the cast, love Zac as a chill younger brother DM. Emily's Brenda Elizabeth (BrendaElizabeth for short) is a standout and her line at the craft station "You can smell that I have become a woman" is one of the funniest sentences I have ever heard out loud 😂😂 Thanks so much for putting this together Zac this is an amazing addition to my weekly naddpod fix

Pokeylope

It's no west wing and wings, but it's off to a great start.

I was thinking the exact same thing. From the one big bed of grandparents, to the brattiness of Siobhans character, Willy Wonka was all I could think of

Kendra Waters

Loved it, Zac! Can't wait for more and to see how the cast changes during different arcs!

MacDhomnuill Games

I love the rotating heroes concept, several parties adventuring in the same world reminds me of how we used to run TMNT games in high school.

Sidereal

I’m assuming characters won’t actually die when the POV shifts after each arc so will there eventually be an Endgame style campaign finale where 12 PCs all reconvene to gang up on Zac? 🤣

Pyro Bjartskular

Emily looking back and forth at the horses in her dream and suddenly seeing a Ford Mustang.

Put an effect on my voice in post! Just used garageband! They have a few filters and tinkered with them til i found something that i liked!

Ben Okin

Zac this fuckin' rules. Dope world, the encounter was interesting and fun too! Promising start. I'm curious if you're planning to experiment with different tones for other arcs with other heroes? Or is the childlike whimsy gonna be a through line? Obviously comedy is the sweet core of the podcast but you know what I mean.

Definitely hoping to change it up a little bit! I don't necessarily see straying into extremely realistic or gritty territory, but i have no goals to continue with more groups of children lol.

Samuel

This is amazing, what a way to start 2021!!!

Melissa Ferrin

such a refreshing beginning to a campaign, and all of the guests established memorable and charming pcs so cleanly + efficiently, i already have a soft spot for each of them :,) and bravo to dm zac, excited to see how this project develops!!

Bub Bubbles

Where has this PODCAST been all my life!!!!!!!
