Hey Zac, question - Will episodes of your show drop Thursdays/Fridays like NADDPOD or some other day of the week, or will it be more random what days you release new episodes on?

Joel Boyd

Zac! Well done with managing those DM nerves! Such an amazing world you have made. Please coordinate your episode drops to plug the holes in my week between naddpod and d20

Leah S.

This show is a blast, thank you all and especially Zac for running it!

Zac I subscribed just to yell about you naming your fantasy city Aberdeen. If your goal was to get a Scot to pay you out of sheer bewilderment you win. My girlfriend grew up in Aberdeen??? I live a couple hours from Aberdeen??? Can’t wait for the gnomes to eat fantasy haggis and drink fantasy Irn Bru!

Alex Rkc

Look all I’m saying is that when u blow up if u don’t come to Scotland (and specifically Aberdeen) I’m telling First Minister Nicola Sturgeon on you and we will consider it an act of war

Jason Draper

Is there a discord server already set up for the new show? :)

Moxi

I love everyone but I'm very. Very happy to have Trapp back in my ears.

Sea Slug

Can I just say, that it would have been hilarious to have a middle-aged Trapp character just lurking in the vents as he attempts to hunt down this Willy Wonka stand-in as these children do their best to stop a murder from happening.

Megan Cox

This is truly amazing!! Thank you Zac! I am so excited for more episodes. Hands down this show ranks so high for me. This is one of the first times I want to re listen to both episodes almost immediately.

hahaha this was my goal! JK - it's important to acknowledge when you thought you made up a city name but then there's also literally no way that you made it up.

Tom From Guam

Well, this was a goddamn delight, and so, so funny. I can't believe I didn't figure out the Willy Wonka allegory despite Emily's character having a ton of grandparents and endless cabbage soup and Siobhan's barbarian literally being Veruca Salt. This whole episode was for real one of the best things I've heard in a while.

Austin Smith

So happy theres more Zac DnD content coming out!

Cameron McGowan

It's a good thing Emily was there to produce the Ark Bark. Maybe jot down a format for the next one.

MacDhomnuill Games

Great start! I am looking forward to the next episode. The survival and tight record keeping game play you guys were talking about is the basis for early editions of DnD. The dungeon crawl rules in the B/X edition were heavy on the "we got three torches and two days of rations left and we are lost six floors under ground" vibe. When I was playing in yon olden days of yore ( the late 80's) we didn't play a lot of dungeon crawls but we did play a ton of wilderness hex crawls that definitely had an Oregon Trail feel with a lot of hunting gathering and exploring.

Edie Bell

Holy shit. One of Emily's grandfather's names is my brother's name, and one of her grandmother's is MY NAME.

What are Trapp's subrace and subclass? Also, inquiring minds want to know: IS Galfas the horse a permanently true polymorphed halfling, or do they just speak common because they're such a smart horse? Joking aside, will you be using the optional druid class feature from Tasha's Cauldron of Everything that allows them to use a wildshape to temporarily summon a spirit companion in the shape of an animal? I think that would be a super cool way to bring Galfas back even if they have to stay behind. Technically horses aren't on the find familiar list, but you could maybe homebrew it to find steed instead? Love the podcast! It's the first thing I've ever been a patron for!

hahah, Galfas is NOT a permanently polymorphed halfling. that optional druid rule sounds tight as hell i have to check it out. Thank you so much Andre!

8BitBruché

Not since NADDPOD have I listened to the first episode of something and immediately threw money at it. Looking forward to more from the mind of Mavrus, the Unschooled. <3

KeganExe

A small comment on making magic items disappear because it's funny. My players recently hit a trap in a dungeon that teleported away either A) all of their magic items B) all of their gold It landed on gold which was significant because they have close to (if not more than?) A million gp. They found it again (by luck largely) but it's such a funny trap.

Brother Lagniappe

Please run the hardcore wilderness survival arc. And do it with the crunchiest players you know! Brennan and Murph come to mind!

thedragonllama

Zac! Dude! Awesome job DMing this! I also just started my own first DMing experiences this November, and felt exactly how you describe haha THE NERVES ARE REAL. ALSO, you won't believe this, but I, too, wrote my own Willy Wonka mini campaign that I have been running lol.

Nicole Jordan

I’m loving this so much Zac! You’re doing an amazing job! So excited to keep listening!
