I feel like the first captain is the best choice show those upstart male captains, a female can do the job as any other male captain. But I would also like to see female kirk married and pregnant.

Interesting variants, all of them tell fantastic stories; I made my pick and so I think this is as good as any time to share what I considered in my choice: Kirk excelling at her current post and keeping with a healthy sexuality, doesnt really impide a later reunion with Spock as the best crewmate one can wish for, before both finally settling down after a few more unforgettable odysseys.
