Hair tweaked.

We also made our own changes to:

There remain some final small tweaks happening to the mask and claws, but we're 99% there now! Let us know what you think of the changes!

Also... It's about to be a busy Friday for you guys. No chapter, but this is the first of 3 different art pieces you're getting today, and the one coming at noon EST is small, but REALLY cool...

I like the changes and the pic is really really cool. What I noticed is that is right hand seems a bit small somehow? Maybe that's just me, though. The face mask threw me a little too because I see some of the skin of his forehead and started to wonder what shido is thinking only protecting part of the head. 😅

Oh wow this is REALLY cool! I love the face shield 🤩 Btw kinda minor but the gap between hairline and face shield looks a bit odd... Overall awesome though! Pony tail is much better, almost like Rei is starting to embrace his samurai heritage

Looks great! Although, unless there's a change for us in this book during one or more evolutions the middle claw should be a bit longer than the others

I like the ponytail but thinking a topknot might be better. Long hair sucks when it whips into your face. But I think the cover really is a tribute to Rei having an ass. I mean it's like dead center and it looks very good 😆 🤣 😂

His right hand looks thinner than his left (to me, anyway), but I think it's just a perspective thing. His right hand just has the top knuckle folded down, while his left hand is in a full fist. At the same time, we're looking at the back of his right hand and the front of his left.

I think this is one picture where everyone immediately zoomed in on the butt "to make sure that everything was right" lol I do think the hair style is very feminine though with the loose hair framing the face. Even with that it looks awesome

Looks great, I especially like the change to the face shield, it's more skintight than my headcanon, but it fits with the style of the first cover :P. I would agree with some people that top knot could be better. It would be a great nod to Ray's heritage, but I'm not sure how it would look. If you can get a mock-up (doesn't have to be detailed) it would be great. To address the point about the figure looking like a woman. If I didn't know anything about the books and had to place a bet, it would be that it's a woman. The pose is unisex, but the long hair would signal that it's a woman. In my opinion, it does not matter, because it's a second volume. If it was the first volume I would be worried that someone would pick it up thinking it's about a female protagonist. But anybody who read the first book knows it's Ray. Maybe a SPOILER ↯ So the series is called Stormweaver, he is named after a god of lighting and now we have lighting around Ray's claws. Hmm...🤔

I know the hair is more accurate tied back but I loved it down. It looked sexy. I imagined the storm whipping it around his head but always staying out of his eyes, after all Shido wants Rei to be lethal.
