My apologies for the delay, it was a busy week!
The dark harvest takes place in the middle of chapter 01, so you can imagine plenty of curious interactions during the first part of the chapter and during the festival as well, as Lena pushes Asher and Ravik to participate in the traditional Moonlight Bond Dance together, where people (especially couples) participate switching partners until the end of the dance where you (try to) end up with your true love (look forward to that).

Of course fun times quickly become bitter as the name of the tribute is announced. (Elnid'oh particularly chooses the tribute randomly, picking a paper with the chosen person's name from an urn.

Tomorrow I'll post the rough sketches of the Reapers, so you can see what the conceptual process was, and how I get to the final designs.

*squints eyes* I have questions for why Adam has a need for this since the Arcadian souls are just splinters of his own essence?

Like, if it's to literally power Sol Hunab Ku, isn't he already himself an infinite source of power? Also, why even power it in the first place? Isn't Arcadia "finished" in the current time. Or is weather/climate control also a function of the Sol Hunab Ku? (e.g. Throwing an entire kingdom into eternal winter.)

The souls in Arcadian religion are called seeds of life , so when you sum that up with the use of words like “harvest” and “reapers” the semantics of it all a might already answer the question. The Ixim, born with these seeds, live all their life feeding it with experiences, emotions and all that human life, the seeds in response get bigger and produce more Magh energy not to forget the Ixim also reproduce so , more energy there. Adam created the new humanity as life stock or well more accurately ,fields of crop, when mature enough he can reap the fruits.

Hmm, I actually expected something like that, but wasn't sure. Guess that Adam has only a finite supply of energy and will wear out after some very long time. I guess he not only has to stop the decay of the universe, but also his own.

Your questions are super spoilers so SPOILER WARNING!!!!!! The creation of the Arcadian civilization was never Adams goal itself , just a means for a goal. Once you understand that everything will start to fall into place . Think about it, what actually happened after exodus reports ? Adonai was possessed by a fragment of Adam and opened the door of omega ( dimension of dark energy, death) but you think Adam succeeded with his goal ( whichever it might be)? It might seems so cuz I concluded the reports there but he failed.The universal reset Ceremony was stopped as what was left of humanity Humanity locked him up in the hunab Ku before it was irreversible. The sudden close of the circuit made the omega door collapse ( those things are practically dark holes) so it imploded and absorbed all life , the hunab Ku itself drained Adam in this moment . The door closed , adam was dry and his only energy source being the higher dimensions were totally sealed away from him. The hunab Ku became his prison and only “the keys” that sealed him can open his cage. Adam needs his power back so he can open those doors to higher dimensions, especially for his universal reset ceremony( not to mention the tree of life also takes a lot of dark energy (magh) to create. But he is in not state of doing so alone so, first he needs energy, the he need the keys and at last he needs a “light” . Finding one usually is easy in any given universe but in this particular case , there is only one last light . You might already suspect what I’m saying here 😉. Also I do think the Sol hunab Ku can control weather but the real reason of said winter in Leila’s kingdom is a giant Reaper of the higher hierarchy, must likely a seraphim level

It’s a safety measure , as much as Adam was created from the higher entities of the universe as a guardian of cycles, he was purposefully limited so he isn’t too powerful by his own , as strong as he is , he still needs exterior beings and factors in order to put things in motion. I will explain the logic of this in its moment for sure !

Correct! it appears in the exodus reports , in the mural where the ancestrals say that Adam betrayed them and he isn’t god. Is the thing exiting the planets crust .I think it might be a good thing to post all the murals here for easy acces !
