Concept Art 006 :Adonai part1 (Patreon)

I must say that the Adamic Darkness juice sure has its benefits, the man hasn't aged a day, if anything he looks better than ever.

Adonai is a character that was so warm and reliable, someone you would look up to growing up, and someone that would always be there for you with a smile on his face when you needed him...When did things go so wrong that he became nothing but a shadow of his former self? He is the mysterious leader of the midnight blades and the one that carries the orders from the Ekpyrosis, more specifically Adam's orders. If  Sol Hunab ku (adam) is God, Adonai could easily be his warrior archangel, but I would rather call him the angel of death.

You might be wondering why Adonai ended up following Adam on this twisted path and while I don't wanna tell you too much right now, what I can tell you is that Adonai did it to recover what he lost the day it all went wrong thousand years ago, the question is, will adam keep his promise to Adonai? or this was all a charade to manipulate the only person that was alive at the moment to carry out his plans? You already know the answer to that question, but I wonder, what would happen if Adonai knew the truth that adam has been hiding from him? Something that would scar him forever, a point of no return... would Adam be able to control Adonai after that? Is Adonai really the villain we all think he is?

We can talk more about it tomorrow in the next part of his concept art :)

I forgot to mention, Black hair was the main option but talking with some friends they convinced me Red hair was more unique and helps him stand out more so that's why I went with Red hair at the end. Basically, his hair started to become red after he was possessed by Adam back in Necropolis.

OH, also let me know if you like seeing the sketches and linearts of the concept or the art in general! That's kind of why I added the rough sketch and lineart this time around, let me know if you wanna see more of the initial steps of the process. I can totally share them if have them, I actually have a colored sketch for the promo art I used to open the Patreon as well as for the Tree promo art as well :)
