The Lord of Wind and Storms is here! Finally showing the Nephilim I have designed so far! He was the first to be designed but ironically I was never completely satisfied with his design at first, so even when I moved on to the other Nephilim concepts, I still came back to tweak his design multiple times until now. I think he finally looks like I wanted him to be, tall, elegant, and imposing.
You might have noticed that the Nephilim look mechanical, and they are, they are biomechanical entities created by the all-mother, the pagan deity known as Syzygy. The Nephilim are known as the older gods by the summoners since their whole culture and religious beliefs have the all-mother at their center.
So far the idea is that the Nephilim are mechas that function as ixbal or even the Twin Keys do, but in order to function with a specific permanent element they need an energy core with said affinity, an ixim (a human child of Adam ). Syzygy might have created the deity act to get closer to the primordial humans and persuade them into revering her as their new goddess, a perfect tactic for her to experiment with them and investigate further how Magh works, which was how Nephilim and summoners were created in the first place.
Due to the Plant allegories in Arcadia's concepts, syzygy might have experimented with the magh of these primordial humans (their seed of life) and forced them to overgrow in monstrous and artificial ways so their Magh could be perfect cores for the Nephilim. Could it be that the Nephilim are just slaves of fate like everyone else in Arcadia?
Are the beings in the core still human? and will their eternal torment end?
Of course, all of these ideas are up for changes if needed but I do find the idea of the Nephilim is in its core, ixim (humans) that were treated like crops (or even animals in industrial farms) being overgrown and experimented with like they were just plants.
Tomorrow I will show you "K'awill" the Nephilim of Fire.
