Yes. Ash won and now the frontier arc is over and the next generation will start soon

Ngl personally I thought this was where Ash's journey should've ended; He wins, becomes Frontier Brain, and then we get a new protagonist. But, nope, we're only 1/3 of the way through.

Yeah I don't think that analogy really works in a scenario where you have to be better than Tom Brady and every other member of the team to even be considered for the position.

the series has done a good job ramping up the intensity of the fights lately, I think the earlier season fights have been fun, but Hoenn definitely improved the choreography and speed of the battles. It just feels like there's a lot more going on now, part of that might be because the game battles were getting more elaborate as the generations went on as well, like, the original games were basically a rock paper scissors match when you boil it down, but each gen added to the complexity of the battle system so there's a lot more thought in it now. Also it is nice seeing Pikachu get another big win.
