I like how when Tony hears that Chris killed Adriana's dog he bounces from horrified to perplexed, then to a mixture of both before the anger kicked in. He was not expecting to hear that. My pity well for Chris has bottomed out. He refuses to accept responsbility and accountability for himself and just makes excuses. As a former alcoholic, I sometimes made excuses, but when I hit my lowest and I could see I was destroying my life, I 180'd and I've never looked back since. Chris is only sorry that his actions are catching up to him; not that he's broken the hearts of the people who love him and betrayed their trust.

Billy Green - The Filthy Casual

Chris is a masterfully crafted character. He has all the makings of a character the audience should like and is usually fairly charming (with some leeway for the mob genre), until he's alone with Ade and we see over and over what an absolute piece of shit he is. He's a very realistic portrayal of an abuser and how they can hide in plain sight.
