What a GREAT story, complete with political intrigue, spot-on humor and plenty of heroic actions to go around! I've really begun nerding out for this show!

I think the end for this trilogy of episodes was perfect, it was Star Trek's first attempt at a three parter and they pulled it of well. Quark is just so funny in this episode, and the moments between O'Brien and his wife and daughter, and Sisko and Jake were sad but sweet moments, Sisko telling Jake to hold off for a while on reading his letter was really telling of how bad things were. It would have been nice to see more of Li Nalas going forward, but they did everything they needed with his character honestly, so letting him die saving Sisko was probably the right move, his legend started from a misunderstanding, but in the end he proved he was the hero the Bajoran people thought he was, he's finally free to rest now. Vedek Winn continues to be a perfectly slimy ongoing antagonist as well, though, they did show a bit more depth to her near the end of this episode, when she saw evidence it was the Cardassian's supplying the weapons she immediately turned on Minister Jaro, you could see her expression change the second they were brought up, she was one of Bajor's religious leaders during the Cardassian occupation, so she would have suffered as well, so it makes sense that she'd at least have some principles against them. I do look forward to these episodes a lot lol, DS9 is one of my favourite sci-fi series.
