One thing is for certain about Simon: He is one of the easiest to root for characters I've seen! With what he's been through and what is ahead of him, it's impossible not to feel for him.

My favorite episode of the series! Simon becomes a man

Matt Smith

Time goes on, nothing will last I will not hold onto the past I cannot waver again because I am afraid No more doubt, no more regret No more things to make me forget That I am destined for more, and it's all in my hands I have travelled so far and learned so many things By following your shadow And now I can see that it is only me who can seize my fate I listened to your words, and I can hear them even now 'Cause they echo in this memory that I hold deep in my heart I've found the reason why, and I just know it's here to stay: I was born into this world so I could cherish every day The answer I have found Will never ever go away

Matt Smith

Those aren't chickys. They're his daughters lmfao

That's unclear, but I don't think they're his daughters. Guame clearly explains that the village they were just in sends up girls to be concubines for the Spiral King, which is what the girls around him act like. Nia, on the other hand, was clearly treated with some manner of respect before she fell from favor.

Antiquity

Gurren Lagann is the underground king of anime

This is exactly what I needed to see after that banna fish ending

I’ve noted a few similarities between Simon and Gohan, both have a serious lack of confidence who need big moral support from special people in their lives whom are part of their family. (Them being Kamina and Goku) These two people give them confidence when they need it most. Kamina is there to raise Simon’s spirits when he feels his confidence waning and Goku has a great amount of faith in Gohan and will support him no matter what.-

Sadly both unintentionally triggered the death of both these characters, due to seeing the Yoko/Kamina Kiss Simon isn’t able to give the battle ahead his all and Kamina hast to leave the safety of his Gunman and knock some confidence into him. Once he returned to his mech he was wide open for a lethal blow which kills him.-

Bad move on Armadillo guy's part. His attempt to make a propaganda film to crush the will to resist of every human on the service ended up backfiring. Bet you anything Team Dai Gurren's gonna be overflowing with new recruits. After the broadcast of the ass-kicking Simon dished out.

Who else loves the old man showing up and knocking the gun away?

Meelog Malterion

I still haven't seen this anime but if he's easy to root for that sounds like Heroic Age

Diesel Marcus

AND THE BIRTH OF SIMON THE BADASS FINALLY SHOWS ITSELF ;) It only gets better from here

Miklar Sihn

I love that the gayest character in the show tells everyone to to go straight at the end.
