This was my First Anime Cliffhanger, and I still to this day think its partially to blame for my trust issues

Ultra Power

I think Jeremiah got hit with a few chairs while he was in that tube. :D

The cliffhanger while annoying never bothered me because I saw the show later and could go right into season 2. But I could see how that would piss people off.

Miklar Sihn

There is one clear person to root for. Arthur, that cat is the clearest good guy in the series.

Miklar Sihn

Nina, everyones favourite psychotic stalker. She did kinda focus every part of her life that wasnt about science on Euphemia, even the sexual part.

Miklar Sihn

C2 is immortal, as has been made sufficiently clear. Though it was a pretty good moment.

Miklar Sihn

I love that little moment of Nunnaly at the end. It makes it very clear that no matter who shoots, Nunnaly gets hurt.

Tyler

Crazy Jeremiah is best Jeremiah. And I agree, Miss Cecile is secretly top tier. Yeah, fuck you indeed to that cliffhanger. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! Where it picks up is just... a fantastic middle finger (in a good way).

Harold Haddick

Ah, yes, it's was so nice to have such a definitive end to the season, so that the year long wait for season 2 wouldn't be too bad. Right? Jeremiah is still one of my favorite characters, No matter what state he's in. Also, the Seigfried is a great mech that isn't used enough for my liking. I love the relationship between Llyod and Rahkshata. They clearly aren't friends by any means, but the second Llyod starts freaking out, she knows better than to question it. She immediately orders the black knights to stand down because anything that freaks out Lloyd that much is more dangerous than she knows. That scene with Cornelia and Suzaku was actually a nice moment of Cornelia finally accepting Suzaku as Euphie's Knight and trusting him to deal with her killer, Can you imagine Cornelia at the start of the season trusting an honorary britannian with something as important as avenging her Sister? So, there's a small scene at the end of the episode of C.C. monologuing as she drags Jeremiah to the bottom of the ocean, I'll post it as a separate comment because it's a bit long. Not sure if they ever dubbed it, though. I think the last time i watched it, the dub left it all in japanese.

Harold Haddick

C.C.'s monologue at the end- "People... Humans are beings who look for happiness. What the Britannian boy, Lelouch, wanted to have is nothing but a small happiness. It's nothing special. At least at the root of his motives there were only humble wishes that were simply natural to any human. Who could ever disclaim such dreams and such vows? Who could ever have the right to do that? However, whoever you might be, without choice you have to deal with others and with the world. Have yourself be regulated and set down. Therefore in the face of the world's wills, your personal speculations are so ephemeral, they can't help being overwhelmed. Sins and punishment, destiny and judgement. What stands in front of Lelouch is the past he brought forth by himself. Is it a hatred resulting from the fact that humans are humans? Nonetheless, for now, we should be grateful... Yes, at least, to the fact that humans are beings that look for happiness. A remaining piece of hope, a faint sign of wishes, will be born from despair."

Garlic

Kinda curious on which side of the fence your leaning towards now that season 1 is over.

Honestly, if I were to designate the character Id most like to bang in CG Its quite likely its actually Cecilé. When she brings it, she brings it.

THE GOOSH!

As this ended, the only thing I can say is that I’m rooting for the Japanese people... Who will best (or least devastatingly) serve them is still up in the air. 😊

CrossZ

Cecile is such an underrated girl. I mean she's got a rockin bod, a great personality, and she's Lloyd's right hand woman so you know she's smart. Too bad she doesn't get to show off her assets more often

Miasimon

You're lucky you didn't watch this when it was current. How long was that wait, again? For sub it was a few months, not TOO bad. For dub it was about a week. For this cliffhanger, it felt like a century no matter how you watched it. Also, I don't care what anyone says, I fuckin love Orange Boy. His insanity fueled chaos is just what I need.

I keep coming back to this episode, but I love Johnny Young Bouch's voice work in this episode. That final yell of "SUZAKU!" Sounds like someone who is desperate to save his sister. Just somthing about that performance stands out in the episode. Overall the English dub is fantastic, but that part always gets to me.

M9M5

"Who gets it?... What?! Fuck You!" Awesome line, bruh.

Dia Rbeid

Blue balled on another level haha !

Reverend357

finally got around to watching it...fuck me now I remember all of this. Things are about to get...confusing if memory serves right.

Master Zed

"Who gets it?... What?! Fuck You!" that line killed me Curtis LMAO the way you said it too. I'm laughing so hard right now!

RyssaVionus

Ah yes... This was definitely one of the times my procrastination won out. I'd never been so happy I'd put off watching a series until it was already complete. And I forgot quite how much happened in this last episode. By the time it splits for that screen marking the halfway point, it felt like it should have already been over.

Chainsaw Man

Anybody else having problems getting the video to play??

Sean Nelson

yeah that's the cliffhanger then we got episode 1s huh a year later.
