Goddamn, my level of intense antipathy for these Vinsmoke douchebags intensifies every day!

Oda is one of the best at having emotional backstories, either making you feel really sad or angry usually heh. Mr Pink's story still sticks with me even though he was basically just a disposable one time fight in terms of the overall series.

Tyler

Yeah, watching these episodes the first time I was just constantly seething with rage. Every time you think, "they can't possibly be any worse than this, can they?" they prove you wrong and descend further into the pits of irredeemability.

Brother E

Oh boy, Curtis is not ready for next week...

Dandy

Not explaining who/what/where/when/why/how, but Reiju mentioned in the flashback that the boys (minus Sanji) were altered to additionally have no emotions and that she was only given the physical enhancements. So these douchebags don't even necessarily "enjoy" what they do to Sanji, but keep beating him up anyway. Also, we see how kind Sanji's mother and sister (relative to everyone else) are to him and that has since been my head-cannon reasoning for why Sanji is so infatuated with the ladies and is so dismissive of other guys.

Now you know the origin of Sanji's chivalry. The only people that were nice to him and cared about him when he was with Germa were his mother and sister.

Jake from SF

the real question now is, does Sanji's dad replace Arlong as the most hated character?

Lewd Angel

While the brothers are absolute scumbags, they're also pretty fascinating to me. Like the sister mentioned, the genetic modifications of the three also included the removal of emotions, which means that they're not the way they are because they're inherently evil, they are supposed to operate on pure logic. And yet they act like assholes anyway. Really reinforces the fact that people develop purely due to outside influences, they were always told what was expected of them and what they were made for, and that is to be superior to everyone else. The lack of emotions literally prevents them from developing any kind of moral compass, they couldn't redeem themselves even if they wanted to. Its an interesting look into that kind of mind, even though i do believe Oda went a bit TOO crazy with making them bullies, because it seems to showcase a level of enjoyment they get out of torturing others, which realistically they shouldn't be able to.

It's going to be an interesting race to see whether Judge is able to take the crown of King Douchebag.

I don't disagree that they're pretty interesting characters... But damn, I really hate them! :-D

Screw Ichiji, Niji, Yonji, and Judge. Sanji's mom was an angel and was his first true paternal figure, but his real family is: Luffy, Zoro, Usopp, Nami, Chopper, Robin, Franky, and Brook.
