You would think that a 3-way like this would be amazing for Gray, but the whole pain and death part kinda ruins it!

Even if she finds the grave, as Makarov, I'd fail Cana on the basis that she put personal desires before the safety of her guildmates and in the midst of an attack on her guild by a known criminal entity. Whomever she is trying to prove herself to will also likely express disappointment. She's missing a key component of what it is to be an S Class Wizard and that's intuition and wisdom, which she is currently lacking. I mean Gray and Natsu are just as disappointed as she is, but they put the safety of their mates before the trial. Hell, said trial was called off the second Erza fired off the Red Alert flare. Erza: You pressed the Gray button Meredy: The Wh- *Juvia smashes Meredy with water magic* Juvia: Ya shouldnta done that! Azuma does respect his opponents if they prove themselves, much like Kaido and Katakuri. When Mira tried to sacrifice herself to save Lisanna, he actually lowered his head and looked away. He does not regret what he did, but he does admire what Mira did to save her sister. He even acknowledged her when Rose was babbling his Allen Edgar Poe bullshit.
