R2 made an incredible save, but it sucks that we lost the two that we did along the way!

Peter Milligan

I looked it up and Gregor does survive his battle from last episode, albeit with brain damage. He shows up in the Bad Batch (a sort of sequel to clone wars) and Rebels (a sequel to clone wars based around the time of the rebellion and the original star wars movies).

When droids have more compassion for life than a living organism... The Irony.... XD Buzz droids are actually a nightmare in space combat. They're often deployed to dismantle Republic starfighters and bombers and they usually take out the R2 unit (usually by decapitation) before severing the engines of the ships they are set upon. I love how Anakin was not messing around when it came to finding R2D2. R2 is genuinely the most badass droid around. I also do think droids of certain builds have self-awareness, especially when they demonstrate empathy, compassion, and thoughts outside of their programming. R2D2 and C-3PO are prime examples of droids who act more like individuals and less like a sequence of codes.

Joel Miller

I think we have so much attachment to R2-D2 regardless of where you started your Star Wars journey be it any of the 9 films or the TV show, we like to see him go on an adventure. I loved meeting him in Galaxy’s Edge.

WHOLESOME DEUS

Yea he comes back with a couple of screws loose...it gets worse with age...sounds like someone I know ;)

THE GOOSH!

Agreed!… On both our collective attachment and meeting him in Galaxy’s Edge. It was really cool!
