Update 11/12 - More "TTS-Style" Animation and some Music for the Show (Patreon)

Time for another funny little update from The Depth.

So, to show a clear example of PROGRESS, I have posted this video up above which is a segment from the same scene I posted before, just this time, we've actually come far closer to finishing it, just needing a little bit of extra quality control before its done.

We're currently optimistic that we will be able to finish this video within this month. The panels we're animating are very close to all being drawn, and I am keeping up with the animation at a pace that impresses even myself, I feel VERY powerful.

Finishing this episode within this month is what we're hoping for and then we're moving on to the next episode immediately. In fact, it's already being storyboarded, so technically we've already started.

The one thing that I worry about, and I would be very pleased if you could tell me your opinion on this, is that releasing it immediately after its done will set a pretty big precedence going forward. We will, in all likelihood, release episodes as soon as they're done, starting from scratch each time and releasing them as soon as we reach the finish line. I am feeling like it might be wiser to get some headway on EP2 before we release EP1, so we can guarantee that the release-time inbetween EP1 and 2 is closer. This will also in all likelihood allow us to do the same thing for EP3 and then all episodes going forward, lying further ahead of the release schedule.

The issue is, of course, patron retention and patience on your end.

Logically, its not something I am deathly worried about to be honest because you are very good to us, but it is still a stress-factor, and a matter of balance. 

We can't just sit on it for months on end while you wait for us to run far ahead into the distant release schedule without anything but insistence from our end that we will be releasing something Soon (TM).

So, currently, I'm considering waiting about a month or so after reaching the finish line but not more than that, just so we can get a big head start on EP2 before we celebrate the release. December currently looks quite good, in such a case. Does this sound amicable? What do you think? 

In other news, another person has now officially been employed at Alfabusa: The Studio.

Marcus, a musician and a friend going all the way back to my senior high school days. He's exceptionally talented, but he's had a hard time finding work, especially within the field he's passionate about, music. So thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to employ him.

I will now proceed to post a song he has made for this project. He has already made about 10 songs for the project and they are all exceptionally good. I will be posting one here that I find, exactly that, exceptionally good. You might recognise the melody...

(Beware; its not been entirely mixed yet, so its still technically a demo, StringStorm will be helping us out with that part soon).

We're also looking to employ another illustrator come December!

And a THIRD illustrator eventually as well, either this month or the next.

The next person I would employ if I could would be an editor, like Karl (the Deranged) for instance, but unfortunately, this is where the budget halts me from going further. I am currently able to pay for my own salary as well as the salaries of the three other people that are or soon will be employed within the company, alongside all the freelancers I also pay on the regular.

If the project is a success come release, this Patreon gets another bump and Google Adsense provides a bountiful harvest, I would absolutely want to employ even more people.
