The walnut is symbolic of endurance. A tough nut to crack keeps on rolling. It's representative of the toughness of the human spirit. Or maybe it represents the priests! They are Wall Nuts, after all! *rimshot*

Also, the treason is question is likely with regard to the body double and miniature coup they pulled with their refusal to hand Eren over to the MPs. The fact that the scouts showed up in Stohess, combined with a Titan attack, if I was an MP, knowing what they knew, I'd have done exactly what Nile would have, frankly.

Levi hurt his leg in the original fight with the Female titan when he saved Mikasa. That's why he's been basically out of commission recently.

I think Eren couldn't find the right motivation to transform and fight Annie — not only because he still had doubts about her, but also because he used to admire her. It’s hard to switch from admiration to killing intent overnight. In the dub version, this part was translated a bit differently, but in the sub version, Mikasa clearly asked Eren whether he might be held back by some feelings for Annie. And even in the end, I believe he didn't transform because he finally felt hatred toward Annie, but because he had sworn to destroy all Titans — the same motivation that drove him to transform for the first time I believe the walnut symbolizes hidden knowledge and a secret that must be "cracked open."

I just got so excited over your small speculations while watching the intro. Do what you want, please don't let me or anyone else dictate it for you, and if you want I or someone else can look up and specify which intros to for sure skip. But so few reactors actually watch the intro and not because they don't want to but because they're told they'll get a bunch of spoilers. I sincerely want to see you speculate and dig deep on one, even if it's just one, just really go for it, cuz no matter if your right or not you won't know till it happens or never happens and you will still love the show regardless if one of your hypothesis end up coming true. That's just my take, take it with a grain of salt.
