It's Apollo 😂

Purple Dragon Knight

At the end of this episode, while Webster and Jones are nodding to each other, Cobb is being arrested for being drunk and hauled away. Everyone misses it, including me since it was happening in the background. Thanks for the wonderful reaction! You're awesome

The Hitler channel was how I always heard it referred to as lol. I think there is a natural fascination with Most of gen x and millennials having family history being involved. That always spurred my interest, wanting to know and what my grandfather did and what it was like for them. Being a gunner on the B17s, his part of the war is much less covered for natural technical challenges. Shows like this make a great window for the rest of us to get at least a smidgeon of comprehension.

It was a long time before I realized that Eion Bailey and Paul Rudd were different people.

Sgt Martin was initially upset at Webster because it was his idea to switch out Malarkey which put Martin in charge. I've heard that really Webster wasn't treated differently when he returned, but he did have a reputation among Easy for just doing the least. Never disobeying orders, but also never really doing anything extra or volunteering for anything. At the end, Cobb is being driven away by the MP's. I can't remember the specifics, but it was for more than just being drunk. It was either assault or refusing an order. I also have never really had an issue with nepotism, as long as someone has the talent and ability to do the job. Colin Hanks is definitely talented. And yeah Damian Lewis is a great actor. I've loved him in everything I've ever seen him in. There was a short-lived show called Life in the 00's where he played a former police officer sentenced to life for allegedly killing his family. When he was later exonerated they had to pay him millions and reinstated him as a detective. He then started investigating the murders and the corruption that put him in prison. Really a great show and very different from the normal police drama.

Robert Durant

Took me a long time to notice, I was wondering why he wasn’t around for the last two episodes.

I've seen Band of Brothers many times but until you pointed it out, I missed that too. thank you

Please do a reaction to the documentary.

Brian

I would also love to see a reaction to the doc. However, the nature of it being a documentary and not dramatized, I completely understand if that ends up being private viewing. As a fellow empath, don’t feel like you need to film a reaction. Share your heart, but protect it always💜

Lee 'Apollo' Adama didn't get promoted to Admiral. He was Captain - Major - Commander - Major - President Adama. (Maybe too there was a moment when he was demoted to Lieutenant??) Then BADGER was President 🤣🤣👀 - I mean Romo Lampkin lol

George Roybal

Fyi, Jackson was killed not Johnson...

Lipton was being made an officer. Commissioned Officers and enlisted "non-commissioned" soldiers (grunts) do not have a common promotion path. Normally, officer candidates go to school and then are placed in charge of enlisted soldiers, who could be drafted. But the Army was losing enough hard-to-replace lieutenants (grunts are easier to replace), so identifying appropriate officer candidates among enlisted Non-Commissioned Officers (higher rank for enlisted men) was prudent/necessary. Lipton had to be discharged from the enlisted ranks and immediately "frocked" or commissioned as an officer.

Winters getting promoted to major just brings his rank in line with the position he already had, he was initially commanding Easy Company as a lieutenant still which would normally be a captain's job, then he was commanding the battalion as a captain which would normally be a major's job (at that time, nowadays a battalion would have a lieutenant colonel in command).

I beg you to watch the documentary as a reaction. The unofficial 11th episode. Please 🙏

The Marines didn't go get Bin Laden. That was a troop from DEVGRU's (Seal Team 6) Red Squadron. They're Teir One operators. There is no analog for them in the Marine Corps. The Army's CAG (Delta Force, commonly referred to as The Unit) is also a Tier One unit, and is arguably better at hostage rescue CQB. Both units regularly do work in non-permissable areas where we're not necessarily supposed to be, and are the ones called when there is zero margin for error. Delta's selection process in particular is incredibly brutal. Unlike DEVGRU, who only allow SEALs into their selection and training course, Delta will take anybody from any branch and any career field so long as they meet the requirements and have enough time in service. But most of Delta's selection candidates are recruited from the ranks of the Army's 75th Ranger Regiment (a tier 3 special operations unit, and the premier light infantry unit in the world), and the Army Special Forces (the Green Berets). Most Delta candidates are individuals who have already been through incredibly difficult special operations selection and training courses and succeeded. The Green Berets' training pipeline has an attrition rate of roughly 80 percent. For every 100 men who attempt to become Green Berets, an average of 20 will be successful. Delta Selection, and the subsequent Operator Training Course, has an attrition rate that averages between 90-95 percent. If 100 men start the selection course, by the end of OTC only 5-10 will graduate and join an operational Saber Squadron at The Unit. Sometimes no one graduates at all. That is a selection course that is attended mostly by men who are already special operators, and the vast majority of them are unsuccessful. It's kinda wild when you really think about it.
