FULL LENGTH REACTION

"We had three surprise titans in the scouts, who else?" LOL, perfect episode for that question! 🤣

Raymond Terry

And now if you watch episode 5 again you'll see what hand motion Bertholdt was ready to do on the tower. They slyly have him do the same same thing again when they on the ground in the rubble, but he acting as if he coughing or shielding his mouth from all the dust. Just know that the reveal scene in ep 6 is one of the most replayed moments ever because of how casually it's dropped.

I never clicked on a Patreon post faster than this! So i confess, I checked the edited version first to jump to your reaction to that "scene." Angela: "Wait.. WHAT?!!?" [tears follow] When I first watched AoT, it was the subtitled version, so I thought there was a mistake in the translation or timing during the reveal. This is the AoT episode I periodically search on Youtube to check for fresh reactions. You can always tell which reactors are really invested in the story and characters, and yours was among the BEST. Thank you for your honest and heart-felt reaction. Knowing you had grown to really care for certain characters makes the impact of the betrayal even more powerful and devastating. You are so observant and great at figuring things out, so I was worried you would've guessed everything beforehand (rewatching this again I see so many clues). But as I selfish tear-drinking follower, I'm glad you didn't! Yeah, so as you can see, the openings sometimes contain spoilers. You see the two titans fighting right there. And yes, and after this episode, we all become paranoid: WHO ELSE is a titan? So buckle your seatbelts, there are more of these kinds of episodes to come!

One of the best plot twists I've seen in the medium. The casual conversation that almost happens offscreen as the reveal is some of the boldest writing I can imagine. And it only gets better from here.

This was the episode I was waiting to see your reaction to. The way they introduced the twist is what makes it good. It's brought up so casually you're caught completely off guard, then there comes the mounting evidence and it isn't until the pair transform that we are hit with the full weight of the reveal. All those times you said you loved Reiner and Bertholdt made me realize that this episode was going to be absolutely painful. This is what makes Attack on Titan so good, it is an absolute rollercoaster of emotions. One thing that is chilling from Reiner's confession is that he said that they were kids. Let that sink in, they were kids when they brought the Wall down, not much older than Eren when he lost mother and his home. Your genuine reaction is what makes you one of my favorite reactors because you are able to really connect with the characters and the feel for them.

I am so excited for Season 4.... and 3... and the rest of 2...

BurntMitski

Hey Angela, just letting you know it's not pronounced 'Raina', you should pronounce it 'Rye-ner' (rye as in rye bread) with a soft r at the end :)

Kevin Fog

All the small clues that has been spread out makes this moment so satisfying to rewatch!

Centarius

Still to this day I'm iffy on how suddenly we just hear Reiner announce that he's the armored titan, at least from a writing standpoint. I will say though, rewatching the show with that knowledge makes the rewatch so much more interesting cause you start picking up on small details and it's so genius.

Christian McPherson

It’s frustrating, but I love Eren can’t accept the betrayal. It makes the moment he turns so emotional because he tried so hard to believe in them. Great reaction

Jacob Lagasse

Can she handle it though? It's going to be so hard on her...

Jacob Lagasse

If you go back to S1E2 you can see Reiner and Bertholdt amongst the refugees. I think you see Annie too in a different shot. And they're DEFINITELY children in those shots so yeah they were at most maybe a year or two older than our main trio.

Jacob Lagasse

And they literally stick two literal red flags right by Reiner and Bertholdt. Looking back they were rubbing it in our faces that they were who they really are, but on the first watch we don't have a clue lol it's crazy

EgregiousGrievous

You said it yourself in the first few episodes, the Titans look like the human features reflecting on Eren being a Titan! All of the Titan traitors look like their human counterparts.
