John using the Aurora Chair, Crais being the hero of season 3, Scorpius apparently giving up... we could never have imagined any of this happening! Also, end of season 1, John blows up a research base. End of season 2, they blow up a shadow depository. End of season 3, they blow up a command carrier... it just keeps getting more and more epic and more and more morally grey. Amazing show.

Crais is dead. But, to paraphrase a line from Casablanca(1942), we'll always have Pilot. Lani Tupu, you're amazing. The destruction of the command carrier is one of many reasons I wish this show had come out in the Widescreen HDTV era. It's so cinematic! Don't get me wrong, it's great as is, but if it were widescreen it could be even better by, at least, the percentage of screen gained. Oh well, that's how it is. Next time, another Farscape season finale! I said to myself back then and, even though the outcome is known to me, I still say this: Farscape...please be gentle.

Every once in a while, right before an episode, I get the Heath Ledger Joker gif in my head. "And here. We. Go!". This is definitely once of those episodes. The writing. The music. The cinematics. The characters. The acting. The development. Can you BELIEVE this show was constantly under the threat of cancellation because it wasn't more popular?

what’s left that they could possible have to blow up??? 😏

Yes, samsies. A few years ago there was a thing going around on Reddit, "Make a fandom member cry with just 2 words" and I remember two of them - Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which was "Mom.... Mommy?" and Farscape, which was "Talyn... Starburst." This episode is not the season finale because it's the climax; the next episode is the denouement. I think for the most part Scorpius doesn't lie; he will when it's necessary, but he's figured out that in most cases the truth is far more effective. The thing that really gets me about Henta's death is that if she hadn't been confronting Aeryn, it wouldn't have happened to her, but she couldn't let go. And one thing about the commercial breaks is that they gave us time to cry and process a bit during the ad roll before the show resumed, while on streaming it just jumps right to the next scene.

..."Spoilers!" (Yes, Doctor Who reference, but apropros here)

I'm really sorry that you had so much pain from the events in this episode but the writers knew they had to bring home strong events to get out of the rut that TV shows in America do where nothing changes season to season. I will once again ask you to remember: In Farscape and Doctor Who, all things are possible.

I love Scorpius' line "To what end? ..." in a disappointed tone... it speaks volumes about their relationship.
