I've been at home healing after emergency surgery to remove my gallbladder on Wednesday. They say the surgery is a breeze and I say its hurricane force winds. In order to get to your gallbladder they fill you abdomen with CO2 gas and waiting for that gas to burn off is excruciating. You feel it in your shoulders and back and the only way to burn it off is walking. So that's what I'm doing: sleeping, eating (very little) and walking.

Thank you so much for the well wishes! I'm hoping in the next few days to get to Peacemaker, AOT and Farscape. Right now the episodes that are completed and will be posted are Doctor Who 6x2 and Frieren 1x10 and 1x11. Xander is working on Andor edits and editing down Zombieland. I reached out to Praper to edit down Weapons. I'm hoping that I will only need a week to recuperate. So I have a bit of catching up to do once I'm able to be normal and not afraid to laugh.

Thanks again for all your support and patience!

Your health is more important than the reactions ❤️❤️

DarkThunder

All the best wishes to you and your health. Stay safe.

Chris Collier

Hope you recover fast! It’ll be over before you know it 🤞🏽

Luke Jones

Please do not push yourself. I’m sure have immense amounts of support from your husband, but we are all here on the other side of your screen supporting you as well. If you ever feel like you need to take a break for a time, just know that we will always be here when you return. Love you ❤️

Michael French

I’ve only been a patron for about two months and you seem to have had around two surgeries in that time, is that normal for you or is this all just very unfortunate timing?

Paulo

Oh god that sounds painful. Hope you get better, hang in there.

ReversePrime141

I hope you’ll be feeling well to watch Peacemaker S02: Ep. 6

Greg

In my thoughts and prayers funnylilnogalbladdergal.

Take all the time you need! We like to share emotional pain, not increase physical pain. Seriously though, I'm glad you're making progress. World would be a lot less bright without you.

Nathan Jasper

That's clever! Well done 👍 😂

Mark K Ehlert

Happy to hear you're doing well post-surgery! ❤️ The only downside on your gallbladder removal is that there's now just a little less Angela to love. 🥹

Aaron Gittelman

Feel better! I had surgery on my shoulder recently and your frieren reactions made the recovery time go by faster. Hope you have similar comfort

David Lonewolf Wright

So they did to you what Shrek did to that frog? Did you at least get to float a little bit? Hope you feel better soon.

Russell Crockett

When I said I wanted you to have an encounter with The Doctor, this isn’t what I meant! 😜

Greg

Lol i can't claim it I saw it or something similar in discord

Mike Drop

Sounds rough. Get well soon

Adam Parker

Sounds awful. Best wishes and here's hoping for a speedy recovery.

W M

My goodness, I hope you hsve a quick and smooth recovery!

funnylilgalreacts

So I had my first surgery planned for months. This one was completely a surprise.

Jacob Morrison

Hoping for a smooth recovery. Get well soon ❤️

funnylilgalreacts

If I didn’t have holes in my abdomen, I would definitely see if I could float

Thianna Noordzij

I've heard people that felt relief with Gas-X after surgery. Hope you feel better soon!

funnylilgalreacts

I did try that, but because it’s not in the digestive system, it doesn’t do any good. The gas makes its way through my entire body. I thought about doing a hyperbaric chamber, but I don’t think I could crawl into it.

Karston James

Rest up with lots of soup 🍲. Get well soon.

Antony Clark

Id definitely reccomend drinking peppermint tea. Helped a lot with the gas discomfort after I had surgery.

GeoAce

My sister is going through this as we speak. I hope you’re fully recovered soon.

Cleverusernamed97

Can't wait until you get to Peacemaker again. take care and get well soon my favorite reaction gal.

LogicSequence

get well soon, i dont really comment ever, but youre an amazing heartfelt and intellectual reactor whose entertainment i enjoy greatly. all the best wishes, and from experience, avoid spice, salt, and lots of sugar for a while! the ole gut has a lot of changes to get used to, baby steps.

Pete Dawson

Get well soon, Angela. I'm sending you light and peace. When you feel wwll enough, please check out "Adolescence" Pete. 🌅❤️🙏

John

Don't rush your recovery. Take all the time you need and don't feel like you have to work twice as hard to catch up when you're back. We aren't going anywhere. Take care of you first.

Chris Padwick

When they say the surgery is a breeze, they mean for them. The surgeon never felt a thing. The Finnish for gall bladder is 'sappirakko'. I don't know how or why I know that.

Jon C

Glad it went well don't worry about how quickly you get back to reactions just focus on your health.

Brian

Best wishes - I really enjoy your channel and wish you a speedy recovery. I hope I speak for all viewers when I say take all the time you need - there is zero rush. You and your health are the priority!

Cyber legacy

Get well soon I hope you will be okay

Karl Ward

Just take all the time you need. I feel your pain, although mine was a liver transplant, the things they had to do to me to keep me alive were worse than the eventual op!! You are the only you in the universe, so get well and keep well and you'll be fine. Take care...

Michael Jones

Take it as easy as you need to. We’ll still be here.

Jaime Unson

Angela, I think the general consensus is that we aren’t going anywhere. So just concentrate on recuperating. Your health comes first. 🩷

Zephyr (AD)

Glad you are home and recuperating! Take however much time you need to heal, and/or take things as slow as you need to. We'll be here!

Jonathan Foreman

Don't rush back into it, take as much time as you need. We'll be here when you're ready to start recording again!

OMG BIG BIG HUGS N COMFORTTS!!!!!! Get well SOOOOON 💙💙💙

Jack Mingle

just wait until you gotta poop. Also have had my Gallbladder removed so I know the issues

hex1c

Oh no! I wish you a speedy recovery. Sounds terrible :/

Brian

Trust me, heal up proper and don’t rush anything. We’ll all still be here when you get back to 100%.

Wedge

Hope you recover quickly! Sending well wishes Angela!!

SaviorOfNirn

Take your time and get well, we understand!

David Weinstein

Using a heating pad on the lower abdomen was an absolute lifesaver for me while recovering(for muscle spasm/clenching).

Bryan Mau

As others have said; take your time healing ... we will wait patiently ... looking forward to healthy fun with you and my fellow supporters!

aGhost

Take your time and get better! Slow and steady and you'll be back to 100% before you know it. Wishing you a smooth recovery :)

Alex

Echoing other peoples sentiments, please don’t rush getting back before you’re ready. The show’s aren’t going anywhere and neither are we. Get well soon.

Natalie

Damn that's rough. Glad you're being taken care of.

Joe Cleveland

My wife had to deal with that same thing after getting her appendix out -- pain in the shoulders and back from the yet-to-be-absorbed gas. It was nasty! I hope you pass your gas quickly?

Todd “Canuck” Schmuck

Hope you’re feeling better soon. Had my gall bladder removed in 2022(granted I was going in for intestinal resection and only had the gall bladder removed because it apparently had a stone and would be way easier to remove while they already had me open with a 12 inch belly incision). If you find the…”side effects” when eating after it’s removed a lot, you might ask your doctor about whether cholestyramine could help(it’s a powder mixed with water/drinks to help absorb excess amounts of bile released after eating now with the gall bladder gone). It was a huge help for myself, enough so I can feel safe eating when I’m away from home.

TheMedraut (Rob J)

Take care of yourself and take as much time as you need to recover. I had my gallbladder removed in the late 1990s and even though it was a "simple" operation, it still felt like someone stabbed me in the gut three times.

Howie

Yes please rest and recuperate! We need you at full strength for the later episodes of AoT and Frieren! You'll need it! 😓

daviderl666

Joining your loyal subscribers wishing you a speedy recovery. And take as much time as you need. We're not going anywhere. ❤️

Gnaritas 74

Avoid fat until you're healed if you can, if you eat fat it will trigger the nerves to the gall bladder to release byle and those nerves will light up with the pain of 1000 suns; it'll be the worse frelling pain you've ever had; don't do it, fat is a trigger until you're healed up. It take your brain a while to realize the organ is missing.

Gnaritas 74

Eat more fat, and consider a lifetime of underconsumption of fat is why we lost our gall bladders in the first place; backed up with stones from under use. Replace the carbs with fat and you wont' have any digestion problems nor need any help absorbing anything. The byle is not to be fought, it should be used, to digest fat.

Eggicus Roundplumpius

It sounds like an absolute ordeal, you’re in my partner and I’s thoughts! ❤️

Gox

so true. i had this 2 years ago. i had to sleep with sofa cushions to keep my torso higher. because each breath hurt like a mf. i hope you have a speedy recovery <3

Zachary Mullins

Not like. As a command. Just don’t want you to feel pressure to push

Christoph Toifl

Get better soon, but take as much time as you need to recover. Or more! No pressure...

Kimberly Bliven

Take it easy! Just had mine out in March (after a fun ten months of not knowing what was wrong). First few days with the CO2 gas is definitely the worst. The thing that surprised me most was how tired I was, even weeks later (like, needing a few daily naps tired) - your body needs time to heal, so be sure to listen to it.

Dylan Maxey

Rest, recuperate and heal! I'm being your old not adopted trans-grandparent and I say take off all the time you need. We will be here when you are back on track again.

Alice Langlois

Wishing you complete recovery . I also have had emergency gal bladder surgery when a gal stone lodged in my pancreas. Walking does help with the gas and I agree it is excruciating and they didn't warn me about that. Take the time you need and let people help if you can. I ended up with chicken pox and a whole other unwanted bunny trail. I learned a lesson :P

Todd “Canuck” Schmuck

While I can't speak to the accuracy of the advice in general(and if anyone else finds it helpful, that's great), but in my case I have other reasons to avoid a lot of fats in my diet. I have crohn's disease, so anything that makes the inflammation worse is top priority to avoid(fibre is another no no. Something like cornmeal might as well be crushed glass with how it feels). I never even felt the gall stone before the surgery(it was meant to remove about 2 feet of intestine where the scar tissue from years of inflammation had narrowed it to unsafe levels for solid food). Now that the gall bladder is already gone anyway, top priority is keeping the crohn's in remission. 🤞

RJ aka LEMental

So now when people say, "You have the Gall to defy me!" You can tell them no, it's just regular defiance. Get well soon.
