These were the top choices in the previous poll. Winner gets watched, no multiple choice 🤘

(If this one gets skewed by shenanigans like the last public poll I will just go off the previous poll winner)

ALFRED STUDWELL

She HAS to watch the original Halloween!

KevandreCactus

I can't say I really get why people liked the menu lol Love the original Halloween tho, I'm not a big horror person but something about that movie is just great

Wolf and Cub Gaming

I don't know, watching her jump.from all the door openings in EVENT HORIZON would be pretty funny

Patrick Waldeck

I liked the menu okay but it's by far not the best movie on this list. All the others here are classics.

Zachery Gaskins

Where we're going, we won't need eyes to react.

James

Halloween is the best choice in my opinion.

William Wood

The only one I haven't seen is It Follows, I liked the other 3, but Event Horizon is my favourite of them

Michael French

Angela, can we please for next month get the next planet of the apes on a pole? The movie is set during winter and it definitely feels like a November movie.

Ash Davis

I used to work in a kitchen. I understand why people like The Menu lol

Aloy

All good choices, but I love a good "The Menu" reaction

Calypso Lucia

it follows is such a great film!! I'm so sad it's losing

m azr

Event Horizon and Halloween

Jordan Love

What shenanigans am I missing?

funnylilgalreacts

The last 8 hours of a poll 300 free members joined and only voted for Black Phone when it was in last place and it won. Everyone was very confused. But I get all the analytics for who joined and when, and whom voted for what so I cross referenced the email addresses and sure enough, shenanigans.

Nathaniel Castle

Great movies but event horizon has the benefits of horror and space!

Natalie

After Halloween, it’s the best on the list.

Chris Padwick

Shenanigans, eh? In what sense? A kerfuffle or a brouhaha, perhaps? Or a melee or scrimmage? Or more like hugger-mugger, clandestine or sub rosa? Either way, I'd love to know what some cad, bounder, mountebank, rogue or flimflammer did to your voting system.

Psychotic Panda

Would make sense to watch black phone with the sequel coming out soon.. but sure hey let’s watch a cheesy space “horror” movie instead lol

James

That sucks. It ruins the fun for everyone else. And i really liked that movie too, i hope its not disqualified from future polls.

funnylilgalreacts

To be fair, I didn’t even know black phone wasn’t a horror movie to even add it to the poll. I have no issue watching it, but why there was a collective effort to cheat to watch it was WEIRD

Jason Gillman

Event Horizon over Halloween? I like Event Horizon but there’s no way

John Miller

I tend to agree. But there's too many people who look at it as being too old.

Jordan Love

How very silly. If I was you I'd be thinking about limiting voting to paid tiers. It's not an ideal solution but easiest for you and if anyone really want to vote It'd only be, what, a couple bucks? Plus they get other perks. Just another case of an a-hole or small group of a-holes ruining things for everyone else.

funnylilgalreacts

That’s what I typically do is leave it for the paid tiers, but I want free members to feel like they’re involved in something. They don’t get to see any of my content, so if I involve them at least in voting for something maybe they’d want to join. But I have to prepare myself for skewing of votes.

funnylilgalreacts

I mean, if I can get it edited down by a different editor I might just do both

Jordan Love

Fair enough. As long as the benefits outweigh any extra work you're having to do.

James

probably bots. ai has gotten way more prevalent lately. its hard to tell whats real or fake anymore and its scary.

James

Im hoping if she watches halloween she will eventually watch the new trilogy (its a direct sequel to the first halloween ignoring all of the original sequels.)

James

I love how much you care about your subscribers, even the free ones. You have such a good heart.

James

Off topic but how are you enjoying this being your full time job?

Leo Cap

it is astronomically insane to me that someone would choose BLACK PHONE as the movie to make 300 accounts over. i've never heard of that movie in my life if I was a lunatic and decided to make 300 accounts to spam a poll, it would at the VERY least be over something actually worth it 😂

funnylilgalreacts

Yeah, I can’t even explain to you why somebody would do that or even multiple somebody’s.

funnylilgalreacts

It’s crazy that I have more time but I’m just as exhausted 😅 but I think that’s because I’ve had two surgeries in the course of three months. It’s also crazy that I’m watching more but still can’t seem to watch enough.

Leo Cap

I think the Menu is objectively the best film here It Follows is probably the scariest in terms of raw horror Event Horizon is fine, but I don't really see it as a movie to watch for Halloween. kind of a bland sci-fi thriller Halloween 78 is iconic any of these would be great, but ironically I think Event Horizon is the weakest option here, despite it being in the lead

Jack Mingle

This is often how it is taken but really it has layers of depth to the story that are largely subtext.

skullking86

what year is the menu ive not watched that one

Leo Cap

i'd also add that the Menu is the only film here with an actual message that's not to say they all have to have one -- after all, this is the fun, casual "Spooktober" ride. nothing wrong with just pure entertainment -- but I think you, Angela, would personally get a lot out of the themes and concepts in the Menu

Chet Brusk

My nightmares did not care how old Nosferatu was.

Chet Brusk

It was quite the simian enterprise.

Merkavar

Wait is that what happened? So odd

Leo Cap

It's the second time it's happened now, too -- and they're always in relation to the most obscure movies, usually at the bottom of a poll

funnylilgalreacts

It didn’t happen with the most recent poll, but the last time I opened it up to free members was when it happened. It wasn’t any of the current free members that voted for it. They were all new.

Ash Davis

It might just be recency bias, and also because I haven’t seen Event Horizon in well over a decade, but I agree The Menu to me is clearly the most well made film on this list. I also liked It Follows, but I always felt like the director’s follow up film Under the Silver Lake was a better. Though UtSL is more of a psychological neo noir thriller, than a horror film. And Halloween IS a classic for a reason. Honestly there are no wrong answers on this list lol

Mike Purdue

The Menu is barely a horror film in my opinion - not to say it isnt good.

Cody Eckert

To be fair, The Black Phone is actually a great movie. But yeah, making 300 bot accounts to vote for any movie in a poll is unhinged.

Leo Cap

i’d call it more of a psychological thriller (the best genre of horror tbh)

redinc10945

Hyped for Event Horizon, such a unique film. Almost everything on the list is great, but EH is definitely the most unique and my personal favourite

NerdyGothKitty

Yeah it's easily both the scariest one on this list and the most fun to discuss what you would do in that scenario.
