NOTHING can replace Frieren. But, at least, Edgerunner was a lot of fun. January 2026 starts the second season of Frieren, so Edgerunner fits very well between the two seasons.

I just hope Hazbin Hotel wins the next time or Angela decides to watch Top 3 from highest to lowest xD - I don´t see Hazbin winning against Cyberpunk... Also, if Cyberpunk really is such a emotional rollercoaster, I´d say Hazbin Hotel is more lighthearted and fun, so it would be a nice pick for a Frieren-like "cleanser"-show... ^^

It's probably because of all the options on this list that Edgerunners has the fewest episodes and/or the longest interval between new episodes. In contrast, Hazbin has the same number of episodes as Edgerunners, but new ones are coming out in only a couple of days. They want to make sure that there isn't a long wait for the shorter ones.

Imo Edgerunners was a victim of how short it was. A lot of potential, but there wasn't enough content for me to get truly attached to the characters, and I ended up sitting through scenes that were clearly meant to be emotional, without feeling a thing. And I'm generally pretty effected by emotional stuff. :( But that's just me, and I'm definitely in the minority.

It's funny because I said the same about Violet Evergarden (it's such a small leap from Frieren to that one, thematically, to be honest) and it has the least votes. I kinda love that, though. I do like Edgerunners so we'll see how it goes, there's something to be said for variety.

It really is a shame that Violet Evergarden has the least amount of votes. it has the best animation you'll see in anime and one of the best stories. Out of all the anime in the poll I know that she would love it the most. I wish more people reacted to anime with really unique and complex stories with incredible character development like it. Such as Violet Evergarden, Ghost in the Shell, Ergo Proxy, Serial Lain Experiment, Vivy fluorite eye's song, and Your Lie in April.

I just got done watching Violet Evergarden for the first time. I don't think I've ever cried so much over a story in my life. I am now sad that it's in last place here by far.

What's really sad is that anime reaction channels follow a pattern and tend to react to the same shows, just not in the same order. I'm constantly recommending more unique anime incredible stories and character development like Violet Evergarden on here, Ghost in the Shell, Jormungand, Black Lagoon, Ergo Proxy, Madoka Magica, Princess Principal and much more. There have been several times that the reactor was really interested in said anime and want check it out, but they rarely win. For me the Best and most enjoyable reactions are the ones that they're really interested in and excited to see. There are so many amazing anime like Violet Evergarden that people are missing out on. Like I think she'd find psycho pass really interesting, along with ghost in the Shell. I just hope we won't have to wait forever to see her react to Violet Evergarden and that she doesn't end up following the pagan
