I audibly gasped when this popped up on my phone

I’m just about ten minutes in but Koba is dead, they left it somewhat ambiguous in the last one because Matt Reeves was considering bringing him back but decided against it

I admit it is pretty egregious that the girl didn’t get spotted, these movies are so good that I give it a pass

I got confused, at first, about which movie this is. This is the 3rd movie, not the 4th. The entire concept of this plot is unexpected, especially with all of those plot twists. But the exceptional performances keep it grounded, even though the comic relief sometimes leaves me scratching my head. Oh, no! Apes win. Nature wins. Humans lose. What an ending. It's the end of an era. But the planet of the apes goes on... There will be new generations. New.... Nova

This is my favorite of this trilogy. The next one, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, is solid but not essential IMO.
