I was just about to add a "hindsight" comment here about Angela's indigestion when I saw her pinned comment on the YouTube page.

Watching it back and realizing what I was actually feeling there was wild. Precious moment of “aww, my first gallbladder attack…”

Omar Bautista

Is war of the apes behind a tier is it yet to be edited and released?

funnylilgalreacts

The full length is the highest tier, but it will be edited down in probably the next 10 days or so. With the mighty nein starting, Xander has his hands full..

Michael Siegel

Wow, you film these things *way* in advance. (And glad you're feeling better, assuming you are, which mostly people are after having that thing out.)

funnylilgalreacts

Well, they’re incredibly hard to edit down because they’re three episodes arcs at a time.

To be perfectly honest, this is the most frightening the Empire has ever been for me. Don't get me wrong, the Empire has certainly done things far worse, but there's something impersonal about the Destruction of Alderaan, the Great Purge, and the Bombardment of Kamino. Here, it's a lot more visceral and personal, as Ghorman insurgents and civilians are gunned down like fish in a barrel by Stormtrooper platoons and tossed around like ragdolls by a phalanx of KX security droids.* Maybe because, unlike the Death Star firing it's superlasers or a fleet of Star Destroyers laying down an orbital bombardment, this is something we in the real world have genuine context and precedent for. Things like the Ghorman Massacre have happened and are still happening IRL, and it is scary to see how close Star Wars has taken us to that reality, minus the blasters and the murder robots.

Episode 8 was masterclass drama. One of the most nerve-wracking and anxiety inducing pieces of entertainment I have ever watched. The build up was brilliant and the resolution was simultaneously satisfying and devastating. Not to mention the tension of emotions regarding Syril. Bravo!

Michael Siegel

I was born in 1972 so some of my earliest memories are of Star Wars. This series -- and the last six episode in particular -- were something I did not expect. Not only the best Star War stuff ever made but one of the best TV shows made. The acting, directing, writing, music and relevance put it up there. Episode 8 is one of the most difficult ones to watch. The sense of doom is palpable. And Gilroy wove in elements of real-life massacres -- Algeria, Mexico City, Kent State, Jallianwala Bagh -- that made it a little too real. And to cap it off with the completion of Cyril's arc. Just amazing that someone could write all this. (Also very happy that they didn't fridge BIx.)

Michael Siegel

Oh, definitely. Also hard to get around those pesky copyright bots. Your editor did a fantastic job. I was laughing when you noted that they copyright claimed the theme music because ... yep. Been there.

Michael Siegel

I was a wreck by the end. I'm glad they finished the arc with Episode 9's bold defiance. At least the Empire didn't get the last word.

glenn sawyer

Episode 8 & 9 are my favorites because they tie in with rebels season 4, if you remember the episodes where mon mothma boards the ghost, that is straight after cassians rescue, if you remember them saying to cassian that gold squadron will take her to yavin, that's what happens and the guy who was working for luthan comes with her on the ghost

glenn sawyer

When you get done with episode 12 watch rogue one again, you don't have to do a reaction to it, but if you could add any thoughts about rewatching R1 after episode 12, i watched it straight after it helped me remember the details that tied it all together

glenn sawyer

I was born in 1972 as well, i agree with your comment 100%

Austin Portman

I had the privilege of meeting Denise Gough (Dedra Meero) at a rally in London last month. The nicest people always manage to play the most evil characters! She was incredible and honestly it's such a testament to her as a person to be able to play such a horrible fascist in Andor and be the complete antithesis of that in real life. An amazing actress

8 & 9 are the best, but after skimming 7, I was surprised you said you didn’t understand the force healer calling Andor a messenger and there being someplace he needs to be. Thats a reference to the movie and his destiny… We know the force isn’t a gimmick and have the advantage of a prequel. 😁

funnylilgalreacts

I just don’t see him as a messenger. I think that that’s Jyn Erso. And I thought because it was episode six that there would be more to that not just the death star and all rogue one.

Airwolf515

The rebel recruit, who raised his hand when Vex asked the owner of the pistol blaster, was Melshi. Melshi was the squad leader of the small ground force that accompanied Jyn Erso and Cassian Andor on a Trojan Horse raid to Scariff. He was the rebel trooper who broke Jyn Erso out of the Imperial transport near the beginning of ROGUE ONE and handed out the explosive charges to each rebel trooper on Scariff as he instructed them, "one per pad". There wasn't much character development for him in the film. All we could interpret was he was one of the few Rebel soldiers that Cassian could depend on and trust in a high-risk mission. I'm glad the ANDOR tv show re-introduced him.

Airwolf515

I believe the Ghorman coffee shop, the interior setting of the hotel lobby, and costume were based on 1940s Europe. I also felt that the Ghorman language was a mixture of French and Dutch.

Airwolf515

The most un-Star Wars language said out loud by Benjamin Bratt (Senator Organa)), "tear the **** out of this place." I couldn't believe I heard that coming from a Star Wars show.
