Leo Cap

a show about time travel with 900 episodes, two dozen companions, spanning over 60 years, and Rory is the first and only person who gets to punch Hitler in the face, take his lunch money and shove him into his locker. a well-earned moment

Leo Cap

"birdsong!!" 😂 never change Angela

Leo Cap

"can someone put their finger in the hole?" -Angela, 11/19/25

Leo Cap

my personal favorite part about this episode: *swastikas everywhere* "sorry, is this your office?" *sees mustache* "holy shit a nazi"

Josef Schiltz

Though I am aware that it is an actor - just thought I would make it clear! - it gives me an immense and distinct pleasure to see AH getting punched in the face. I admire Rory's self-control. Of course, you can't - no matter how much you would want to - interfere with the timeline.

funnylilgalreacts

I’m just saying… They could’ve called the episode let’s punch Hitler in the face. To tease that title and then it go nowhere is a tease.

daviderl666

Unfortunately, the title is 'Let's Kill Hitler' not 'We Killed Hitler'.

The Lore Merchant

"The answer should be 42..." Did you know?... Douglas Adams wrote some serials /episodes of classic Doctor Who!

Shanaeri Rynale

In classic who, It's stated that time lords can regenerate 12 times.

Logan Giddings

“We could make a time lord a really good weapon” Thats the kind of thinking that could make you into a one off episode villain

Josef Schiltz

There was a song back in WW2 which went - "H. . . . .r has only got one ball". Interestingly enough, a DNA test on a blood sample has revealed that AH may have had Kallman Syndrome so may have had Hypogonadism so he could have had only very small testicles. Such a condition may have, ironically, marked him out, by his own Nasty prejudices, for taking to the gas chambers.

Plastic!Rory learned how to be a badass over 2000 years...that kind of experience never goes away!

Robert A.

In the U.K., "corn" is a catch-all term for any type of grain, from what I understand. (They would call what we think of as corn, "maize") So crop circles are sometimes referred to as corn circles

Michael Siegel

I am consistently amazed by how well Kingston plays River at various points in her life -- from batcrap crazy at the beginning to mature and flirty at the end. And backwards in terms of when they were filmed! And -- no spoilers -- but the best is yet to come. Also -- "he was in love with her from the very beginning". TBF: I kinda think we all were. :) Addendum; I've always felt there was some reason why the Doctor never went after Hitler, e.g., the alternative history would have ended in a massive nuclear war. But it's a touchy subject to explore so I get why they've mostly stayed away from that sort of thing.

Rose Gwin

The time of angels river tells the doctor he was too busy to teach her to fly the tardis Well the tardis taught her because the doctor was dying at the time. Rivers storyline is one of my favourites It’s just incredibley tragic but well done A lot of stuff river talks about slowly unfolds which is pretty cool

Jeff Ratcliff

I can relate to the height thing, but if you were a few inches taller you'd have to be "funnyaveragegalreacts" which isn't as fun.

V1rtu0u5

Jumper is British speak for sweater. =)

James Miller

It's long established canon that time lords can regenerate 12 times. I guess it hasn't been mentioned in new who up to this point. You had two, "that's what she said," moments in this reaction. "Someone stick a finger in the hole," and, "if I only two more inches."

Alex

It always amazes me the quality drop from the last episode to this. It's like they thought it all out only up to the mid series break and then panicked

Vinny Johnston

Stop saying that she is full of spunk in Scotland that means sperm , so if you say that here you will get some funny looks.

Ben

You should really watch a show called 12 Monkeys.

D

Amy: How come you can fly the TARDIS? River: Oh I had lessons from the very best Doctor: Well, yeah River: It's a shame you were busy that day Just busy dying, no biggie

Josef Schiltz

If you are referring to what River squealed, when she examined her posterior in the mirror, she actually said Jodhpurs - pronounced Jod - purs - which are close fitting full-length trousers worn for horse riding.

matt

Maybe Hitler is time-locked?

Bill Roland

I assume that some events of World War 2 are fixed points in time. If Hitler was a participant in these events, either it would be somehow impossible to kill him prior to those fixed points, or someone else would simply take his place and the same events would happen. I largely assume that fixed points in time were invented by the writers of Dr. Who exactly to explain why the Doctor doesn't go back and resolve some of the tragic events of history, or even prevent some of the tragic events of the present - as the present is also part of the flow of time and so an event in the present is just as easy to make a fixed point in time. It helps resolve one of the issues that people often point out in things like comics when they parallel the real world and keep major world events in their story, why wouldn't the hero have prevented that? Obviously, they will occasionally have fixed points on something that isn't a tragic event, because otherwise it seems like the timeline is intentionally cruel and tragic if only tragic events led to fixed points.

Matthew Bowers

It has the same meaning in the US, but the phrase full of spunk never made me think of that. In my head I separate the phrase from the word. Weird how language is. Also apparently it means tinder. So weird name for a dating app...

William Wood

I loved this episode, at least we weren’t kept hanging on what happened to River

glenn sawyer

Rory's story ach starts off similar to mickey the idiot, but he gets the girl and when he becomes Rory the Roman he really starts to show the change, one of those highlights is obviously punching Hitler and putting him in a cupboard

glenn sawyer

They didn't kill Hitler because fixed points in time cant be changed, i know it most likely would have prevented ww2 but its how it works

Michael Jones

I love that this episode built on the thing established in The Christmas Invasion where 10 regrows his hand, because Time Lords are so bursting with cellular energy during the first 15 hours of the regeneration that they are essentially invincible for a bit. The captain of the Tesselecta was recently in Andor as the Chandrilan gangster Davos Sculden. The father of the young lad who married Mon Mothma’s daughter.

Max Packer

I'm sure someone has already pointed this out in the last video but I'll mention again: At the start of last episode, when Rory goes to find River in prison, she says 'it' my birthday'. As then we see Melody Pond born. Clever

James Fleischman

lol I fear for the universe if Angela ever gets hold of a time machine. Hitler is definitely a goner.

Josef Schiltz

C.O.D would be a good one-off watch of Classic.

Jedi Beavis

I feel like killing Hitler might mess up the timeline.

funnylilgalreacts

No, I would never kill Hitler. I would drop a bunch of pamphlets from the tardis telling them about his medical condition though 😉

Dean Miller

"You named your daughter....after your daughter..." Welcome to Doctor Who everyone!

Balkyne

We also says "full of piss and vinegar" for a similar purpose, so we can hardly say that'd be weird

Balkyne

Everything that would massively change the course of history Doctor Who get's around being able to change by calling them fixed points

tonright

Wherever it is you are watching this has weird subtitles. Maybe it was subtitled by an American who had trouble understanding them? Every so often there's something that's just way off it's weird.
