Happy Thanksgiving! You mentioned the basement so much in your intro and then POW, that was the title of the episode. HAHA Armin was always ripped, we just never saw his abs before, When I first watched this episode, I was so conscious of the time remaining. and they took so long to get to the basement with all those flashbacks so I knew it would be another cliffhanger. When you touched your head during the post credits, happy to see your mind was blown! Very observant of you comparing the scenes with WWII. Not surprised you made the connection.

At this point in my first playthrough, I had no idea what I thought was in that basement. I was just happy to have finally gotten there lol

Happy Thanksgiving!!! now I can eat and watch the reaction lol 😂

Kevin Fog

Yes, a lot of WWII imagery. I'm looking forward to see your reaction on the next opening.

Nate Stevens

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you have a great day with delicious food. What an exciting episode! I enjoyed how much they built it up. They really gave the basement the weight it deserved, I felt

Levi was gonna pick Erwin. For sure. But after remembering Kenny's last words, "Everyone had to be drunk on something to keep pushing on." He realized that Erwin's dream was too selfish and "shallow". He just want to prove that humanity exists outside the walls which was almost a fact after knowing that titans are also humans. His choice to join the mission just to reach the basement despite knowing he will die solidifies this for Levi. Erwin also kinda confessed that maybe he was doing all of this for his personal interest. That's why Levi made the decision for Erwin to give up on his dream and die with the recruits. Levi also remembered the night before the mission when Armin was talking to Eren and Mikasa about the sea and all the stuff outside the walls. Meaning, Armin's dream was more than just proving humanity exists. It's that there's a whole new world out there for them to explore. And more salt to take from the sea jk. So in a sense, Armin is more drunk on something than Erwin. Lol. That's what made Levi change his mind. Not Eren. Not Mikasa. Hence why he said that the decision was his and he will not regret it. On a lighter note, he failed to kill the Beast titan and that was his promise to Erwin.... so he did not want Erwin to see he failed lmao. Of course this is a joke.

If it's not too much to ask, can we have a little bit more time before the show gets blurry? I'm watching on Netflix and we don't have that Kodensha thingy intro. So by the time the show actually plays, it's already blurred and hard to sync. But still manageable. It's fine if it's too much work for the editor. Thank you.

Peter Wyatt

Hehe. And here you thought we'd be seeing the basement at the end of Season 4.

I don’t think it’s too much for editing sake, but we do have to be careful about too much of the show being up for too long and getting hit with a copyright, but will test and see how much more we can show before we get in trouble

Jonah

Like 7 fucking uploads on a holiday. Give your editors a raise <3 hahaha. They are on fire!

Jonah

Yeah, imagine they finally have an episode called "the basement" and it cuts with a "to be continued" right as they get to the door. LMAO that would be so meta for AOT I don't blame you for expecting it. HAHAHAHA

Jonah

Agreed. And I would appreciate it too. I am watching on DVD and the intro is different for me too. Or even a couple seconds of un-blurred when it does the episode title card right as it cuts back into the show.

Jonah

You're very observant. Can't wait for more.

Alkaris

The basement, the basement, they actually made it to the basement! I half expecting them to drag out the story before getting to the basement and pull the "TO BE CONTINUED" leaving you to find out what they found next episode.

Jonah

I mean, a joke can also be true. That was a point of shame for him and a promise he made and didn't fulfill. It may have not been the driving factor but I'm sure it was a contributing one whether he'd admit it or not.

Whiffed

Armin was ripped before he got the titan. Did you not see him the entire episode where he was burned?
