FULL LENGTH REACTION

The smash cut to Lucy being crucified made me laugh my ass off. I love that she wants to reason with everyone, but not everyone can be reasoned with. Destroying ghouls and mutants is a core tenant of the Brotherhood. Most chapters kill them on sight; some tolerate them enough to not instantly kill non-ferals, but none of them see ghouls as actual people.

I'm still not sure if Lucy has low charisma but keeps picking the conversation options, or has high Cha but rolls really badly lol. I'm a little sad Kumail didn't get more screen time. I always enjoy him in shows, but I'm more glad Maximus didn't let him murder kids. I love this show!

Yeah, I think it is fair to say that Maximus is pretty much done with the Brotherhood. I didn't know they'd take Kumail Najiani from us so soon after getting him...😂🙈 I want to know what exactly Thaddeus was exactly doing there, in his post apocalyptic version of Bitcoin mining. Is he working on his own or does he answer to someone? Where do all the children come from? Where did they find all that soda so many years after the apocalypse? 🤔 The wasteland is so fucked up that it actually is a better life for the kids to work in a factory for a (relatively) kind boss and protected by robots, than being out there all alone. Hats off to Thaddeus for putting himself in the line of fire between Xander and "his" kids...🙌 I love whenever Charlie and Cooper are talking. I can sympathize with Charlies views and he seems to be genuinly believing in what he is saying. Moldaver on the other hand gives the feeling that she manipulates everyone to achieve whatever she's aiming at. Back then it seems to be revenge on Vault-Tec and its allies for taking her invention of Cold Fusion and to prevent the fall of the United States. That congresswoman was incredibly boring, but she had a very noble agenda, standing up to corporate influence on the government and therefore being pushed aside and isolated. Interesting for me was that Charlie and Cooper were the only ones that didn't laugh at her clumsiness. The only congressperson on their side is someone who can not be heard. I wonder why Justin Theroux was feeling out Cooper Howard. Maybe they are aware of his connection with Moldaver and therefore observe him? 🤔

It was pretty clear where Xander (not the editor) was going as a character. Still Kumail was great in the role and I would've happily watched him in more episodes.

I believe Justin Theroux is a House, but with Rafi Silver identified as Robert House in that Vault-Tec meeting and on TV several times, I am a bit confused. I know some lore stuff, but I want to not say anything further. I liked Kumail's Xander, but from what I knew of the Commonwealth Chapter, they were overly militant about their own version of the belief structure versus our West Coast Chapter. I got a bad feeling that the turmoil in the Legion camps has come to an end and there will be only one Kaiser... er Caesar, strengthening themselves under one banner and becoming a larger problem in the region. I don't think Barb is causing this, I think she is trapped knowing where things are heading in the world between America and China and trying to do what she can to try and protect her family... in a "good vault". I think that scene when she came home and she seemed a bit shaken herself before going to see Coop in the kitchen kind of showed that. I think this scene in this episode is her struggling with what she knows, what she wants to protect, and her own values.

To me, the easiest explanation is that Rafi Silver plays a public body double/decoy, which Mr House's inspiration Howard Hughes was known to do in his later years. Whatever it turns out to be, Justin's version SCREAMS Mr House much more than Rafi's. Imo, he's the real deal.

I like what Justin Theroux is doing, but I feel his House is a little more unhinged than the House from New Vegas... so I feel Rafi is playing it a bit closer. I am down for either direction or a potential more "familiar" one too.

Oddly enough the Legion’s Latin pronunciation is pretty much correct according to the Latin lessons I had at school. The German word Kaiser is derived from Caesar (as is Tsar). The W sound for the V in ave is also consistent with the rules for pronouncing classical Latin that I was taught. I had one teacher who was particularly strict about it and would penalise anyone who used a more colloquial English pronunciation. Not with crucifixion, though, that would have been going a bit far, even for him.

I just got caught up, but I thought I'd mention an interesting change in the dialog between the season one episode and the recap given in the 2nd episode. It ties in to what you said about the cleric calling Maximus "son." In the recap, he said, "With me as its head, and you as its sword." However, in the original episode, what he said was "With me as its head, and the LIKES OF YOU as its sword." That is a very key difference!

TIL the correct pronunciation of Nevada. Thanks Angela! :)
