Well that was disappointing

Tommy

Damn, copyrighted.

ReCoN

Just got cucked so hard :(

DieWinterkirsche

What if you give us the Full Reaction video as a download? I guess Netflix is veeery sensitive about this episode ^^

Chill4xed

You got a timeline for the reupload? Just for planning purposes. :)

Jonathan Giles

Youtube knows how sad the episode is and is trying to save everyone lol 😆 😢

LatePaul

I'll never understand why these companies do this. No one is watching a blurred YT video without any audio as a substitute for the show.

PurpleAfterglow

as if they won't make enough revenue anyway...

Tommy

Its back now.

Tommy

Its back now if you are referring to the copyright.

Tommy

Its likely automated AI detection.

Jonathan Giles

W Finale. Seen so many bad ones over the years. What a series. End of an era

LatePaul

another reason AI sucks. There should be a human in the loop.

Pooofy

Wow this was a strong episode. This was the best ending I could have asked for.

Pooofy

I will say I do wish Jonathon and Joyce had some moments but I really don’t think they had any dialogue together this entire season

Pooofy

Also I feel like robin and Vickie might have broken up. When that group was above the radio place, Steve toasted saying “nothings keeping us apart” and robin responded with “including overbearing significant others” maybe insinuating they broke up?

Nowhere Man

So, I first watched this final episode in a movie theater. The instant Kali had her dramatic moment, I knew she was faking it. Then, after Hop came back in the room, there was this weird awkward moment (as though Kali and Jane had just talked about something secret). It was also the case that Kali had previously told Jane about faking her own death, so that narration turned out to be foreshadowing. Is there anything in this show that ISN’T a foreshadowing? Later on, when El was standing in the gateway, the Upside Down was collapsing and the resulting artificial cyclone wasn’t disturbing her clothing or hair as much as it should’ve. She would’ve also been hit with flying debris that probably would’ve knocked her out or even killed her. Kudos to Mike for noticing the sonic devices. If all of those sonic devices had been turned up full blast and had been pointed directly at El, she would’ve been on her knees in pain. Unfortunately, Dr. Kay may have also figured it out, so maybe it’s not all over and done with after all. Believe it or not, the Duffer Brothers actually left the door open 3 inches---just enough to someday make a sequel. It’s also the case that not everything was properly explained. Dustin suggested that Brenner MADE the wormhole by tricking El, but did he? El banishing Henry happened long before El opened the gate again, and I doubt El ever told Mike and Dustin and the others every detail about her interactions with Henry. And how do we know whether or not the wormhole was already there? Is El really powerful enough to create a wormhole? It seems more likely that alien made the wormhole and waited for someone to “break down the door”. And is blood really how Henry’s powers were transferred? What if El had powers that were independent of Henry? How far back in human history does contact with this alien species actually go? The list of questions is infinite. And speaking of destroying the bridge, is it just my own paranoia, or is setting the explosives on a timer and then driving a long distance back to the Rightside Up a REALLY DUMB IDEA!? If something had gone wrong, they all would’ve died! Now that would’ve been a tear jerker. Nearly the entire cast dies because the truck gets a flat tire. I think rigging a remote radio-signal detonation would've been a lot safer. Also, after rewatching the previous episode (S5E7) several times, it occurred to me that their plan didn’t include the possibility of the military showing up at each location, which they did. So, good on the writers for leaving that plan flaw in the script, and bad on the Patreon/YouTube reactors for not noticing that obvious setup. Knowing Mike, he won’t ever give up. In between writing whatever it is that he writes, I believe that Mike will research all of the remote towns in the world that exist near waterfalls, and systematically travel to ALL OF THEM.

May Netflix never forget that they didn't get this show by taking a chance, they got this show by taking many chances.

I dont care what anyone says. This was a perfect finale. I like how they kept Els fate up to us whether or not we want to believe the story mike told and i do believe it.

Was a bit surprised by some of the music choices - I had been betting on Livin’ on a Prayer showing up given the 1987 setting and IRL family connections. Then when Murray talked about starting the countdown I was expecting The Final Countdown by Europe to kick in. It was a shame we didn’t have anything about Suzie - though as the media had seemed to be pushing the satanic ritual murder story about Hawkins her family may have forbidden association, particularly after a bunch of his friends showed up and plied Eden with Purple Palmtree Delight. Or maybe the military checked the phone logs and found a record of her home number accessing Nina.

I absolutely loved this ending! Was it perfect? No. There were some plot holes, but as far as our characters go it was beautiful. I'm glad Henry didn't get the redemption, but was given the choice. I'm glad the death of El was left ambiguous and up to the viewer to decide. I like what you said in the beginning about character deaths. The Game of Thrones model doesn't work for every story. No deaths does not necessarily mean lower stakes/lazy writing. As a Gen X'er around the same age as our main characters, I loved the throwback to the old fashioned "good guys defeat the bad guys and mostly live happily ever after" model. It's an 80's story told in an 80's way. The acting this season was phenomenal across the board. Jamie Campbell Bower especially shined and deserves an Emmy. His performance as each of his 3 "selves" was stellar! I hope they make the stage play available or even adapt it into a movie or limited series someday. I would love to delve deeper into Henry's backstory. Hated to see it end, but I'm pretty satisfied with how they did it! I'm going to miss these characters that reminded me so much of my own childhood friendships. But there's always rewatches!

o.o

i still think henry was good. when he said we are one, a tear comes out, just like when billy told eleven he was gonna end everyone and a tear comes out. i believe, truly, henry was still under mindflayers control. He never had friends to help him, not the way eleven and will had.

BtsOT79798

i like how the dnd game was mike's way to help his friends understand el's choice and help himself as well truly understand el's choice....

James

My headcanon is that a few years after the flash forward Mike and El are reunited and stays together forever. Now please make a movie to make this a reality lol

MsMcGoo

The barrels that hop sees contains agent orange. Which I think hop believes is what caused Sarah to get cancer. Soldiers were exposed to it in Vietnam

Me and wife keep thinking about Hopper and Joyce's proposal ring because it looks exactly like one that Jonathan was carrying around. And with that ring being discarded in the same room where El and Hopper were hiding from soldiers, we have a little theory that maybe Hopper saw that ring and scooped it up very quickly :D Or, which is more real, Murray had a very good deal for proposal rings and helped Hopper with getting him the same exact type of ring )

Okay, after avoiding watching this for several months, it's time to watch the finale. Also knocked out the Fallout season finale today. I really hate endings (in general).
