Death Claws and now our first Super Mutant (and yes it was the FEV that made it.), loving this season! Pretty sure that was Ron Perlman, he narrator alot of cinematics in the games.

Rime Pendragon

regarding vault 32 and 33. They were not really for experiments, more a breeding program for management. Bud said this last season.

They seriously turn every thing up a notch with these last 2 episodes...🤯 This is one of my favorite episodes so far...🤩 I have the feeling I owe Barbara Howard an apology - at least to a certain point. Her being threatened by the Enclave (that is the third player on the table, the one House wasn't sure about...🤔) to say those horrible words is something I didn't have on my Bingo card. Now I want to know why. You can see she didn't like all that talk about selling the end of the world very much in the beginning, she just seems to think she has no choice. The commercial of the nuclear clouds over L.A. looked suspiciously like the actual end we saw in episode 1x1...🤔 And it looks like Barbara was the one who doomed Vault 33, by giving them a defective water chip...🤔 But she seems to just play along, she didn't look happy or convinced at all. She is in it for her family - that I believe her. She has her doubts and tries tro find out more, only to get Wilzig send after her with a threat and who knows how he was threatened to play along. If Wilzig grew a consience and he tried to get the cold fusion back to Moldaver later, maybe Barbara went through a similar process? I can't wait to see what Barb and Cooper will do with the diode. This is so mysterious, I love it...😍 It only occurs to me just now, that we never saw the top management of Vault-Tec. Who controlls the corporation, who was the person lurking in the shadows? I guess Coppers and Barbs marriage didn't survive these events...🙈 Wilzig showing up and the super mutants words confirm that indeed the Enclave is the third player behind it all and they seem to play an even longer game than Vault-Tec, maybe even controlled Vault-Tec from the beginning...🤔 Apropos super mutant - I am so happy, we finally got to see one (well, seeing is relative but you know what I mean 😅). The second I saw the net with the flesh and bones hanging I knew we have our first super mutant. The voice is indeed very familiar - it IS Ron Pearlman. I had the great fortune of working with him many years ago and he was such a friendly, relaxed, very decent guy...😍 I think Hank is absolutely wrong - in everything. He is simply playing God, presuming the right to decide for all people how they have to live. You can't solve a conflict by eliminating all people you don't like. Mankind tried to do it all the time since the beginning and it never worked out. The only thing you achieve is creating yourself new enemies. You may get rid of the old factions, but over time you will create new ones. The only way to change the world for the better is to convince the people, to give them a chance to build something, giving them the prospect of bettering their lives and the lives of their loved ones. Hank only creates an army of slaves. His brave new world is very weird - for me it was more disturbing than anything else we've seen in this episode. It was so kafkaesque with a strong pinch of "Clockwork Orange" - it was funny (albeit very dark funny) and creepy. It kinda reminded me of Viktors cult in "Arcane" - yes, the people seemed better, more peaceful and happy, but robbed of their personality and their free will entirely. What did Viktor say? "Choice is false." It seems Hank lives by the same maxim. When we are all of one mind, there will be no more conflict. Just like Viktor he genuinly seems to believe he is doing a good thing. But Hanks eyes betrayed his true motivation - did you see how cold the look in his eyes was when he said "Kumbaya."? 😨 I hope Lucy sees the flaws and the evil in her dads plans. I think Hank talked to the Enclave when he arrived in the Vault-Tec vault. He works for them while pretending to work for Vault-Tec. That would also explain why he was so unfazed to find the Vault empty (just like all the other management vaults, according to Cooper). Maybe he knows what happened to the Vault-Tec management. I loved that when Lucy woke up the word "Observation" was printed on the window of her room and when she saw her dad for the first time in his Vault home, the word "Simulation" was written all over the window. I love the humor in this show...😊 The guy who didn't want to leave Hanks Vault is the leader of the gang of the Khans that were killed by the Ghoul when he and Lucy met them at the dino motel in episode 1. One of the fighters was the nice NCR guy who helped Lucy in episode 4. I wonder why her father is playing along with her trying to bring him to justice in her usual overly naive way (but I still am so happy she wants to do it that way, she has changed less than I was afraid 😅). Is he actually trying to convince her or what is he waiting for? It is clear that he could turn the table around any time he wants...🤔 I love how Fallout continuously comments real life events by showing the life and mentality of the vault-dwellers. It isn't even in the subtext anymore, it is plain out in the open for everyone to see...🤯😅 If Betty is smart she leaves vault 33 as fast as possible...🤔 This is the most socio-critical mainstream tv-show I've ever seen and I love it...😍 Maximus is indeed the "lucky one". His whole adult life his luck points are maxed out. He always lands on his feet, as if destiny wanted to make good for taking everything away from him in Shady Sands. I am so happy he sees the good in Lucy, I hope he gets to her as long as there is still something left in her...😅 Pairing him up with the Ghoul and Thaddeus is going to be awesome...😍 Thaddeus is at the same time right and wrong. Yes, it is easier trying to be good when you have a full belly and a roof over your head, but he jumps to the wrong conclusions. He associates being good with being rich, which is obviously not true...🤔 The "Boneyard" is the ruins of downtown L.A. and the shithole is the crater that is left of Shady Sands. Oh, Chet is finally waking up! I have waited so long for this to happen. Woody missing though makes me worry for him. I still want to know why they showed us via her ID that Steph is pending canadian? Why did she want to leave the U.S.? The device Hank carried around in his briefcase is the same that Wilzig used to inject the cold fusion into his neck and Moldaver used to get it out of his head later on. That's why it was so simple to open the briefcase, because most people wouldn't have thought of looking for the cold fusion in Hanks neck...😊 That song in the end was the young Johnny Cash.

Fun Fallout Fact: Ron Perlman, who is the super mutant in this episode, was also the voice for the opening narration in the original Fallout games and said the phrase "War...War never changes."

sourced from the wiki- Super mutant is a general term referring to humanoid mutants created by exposing a regular human to a variety of the Forced Evolutionary Virus II (FEV2). The resulting hulking mutants typically possess exceptional strength, endurance, resistance or immunity to disease and radiation, as well as modified intelligence. A common trait of all super mutants is that they are completely sterile and cannot reproduce (one variety is even explicitly asexual, i.e. devoid of primary sexual characteristics). They are all masculine in appearance with some being larger and more monstrous. They possess increased muscle mass, and their skin color is usually green, though some are blue as the case of Nightkin (sneaky ones). On the west coast specifically, they are the creations of an individual called The Master (an unspeakably mutated insane individual at least I thought so), who believes that the differences that led to the Great War could be overcome through the forced evolution of humanity. The Master's army of super mutants (Unity) plans to conquer the wasteland and usher in a new era of peace and prosperity by mutating those worthies of joining and sterilizing those who refuse (unaware of their own sterility). MInor spoiler!!!! Though unity was defeated with the death of the Master at the end of the first Fallout game leaving the remaining super mutants leaderless and fractured.

Is civilization worth the price of free will? I could argue free will is an illusion, at least in the wasteland. I digress.
