I’m so glad to watch this with you. I’ve been waiting for the season finale. It’s so epic. With the moon gone, Aang in his Avatar state merges with the Ocean spirit who kind of pulls a John Wick. When the moon comes back, the ocean spirit leaves and deposits Aang, who comes out of the Avatar state all exhausted (as we’ve seen before), and returns to its physical form, stopping only to pay Zhao a visit first (not saying anything). It’s just such a huge ending with huge stakes and a huge sacrifice (I cried too). Side note… the same episode where Iroh saw Spirit Aang on Roku’s dragon, he mentions his defeat at Ba Sing Se. He had them under siege but his men were hungry. I kind of assume that’s part of the reason he retired and went into exile to look after Zukko. Again, really rich back story. I love it all so much! Thank you for watching with us. Looking forward to season two. Oh, her name is Azula. And I’d have no face.

Loved everything about this reaction It is one of my favourite episodes (top 5) And I really happy to see you enjoying the emotional highs and lows of it all.

Yay!! This is what REALLY got me encapsulated with ATLA and introduced -one of- my favorite characters in the series but there are so damn many good ones in here! Oh and I most definitely wouldn't have a face after this either. 😶

Fun Fact: Even the writers didn't care much for Han. He was a necessary minor plot detail and Yue's betrothed. But the writers kind of forgot about his infatuation sub plot. So at the last minute they had to write him in. I think its so funny Zhao just throws him overboard all nonchalant

Adam

I have a suggestion. If you plan to re-watch the movie. You could do a live watch through with patreon members.

Adam

I think what happened to Zhao was well deserved. It sounds like you would love Korra. Only airbender get tattoos. No 😂 I would be faceless. 🥴 creepy!

Great reactions!! Just so you know when Aang went into the Avatar State, he merged with the Ocean Spirit, which is why they briefly showed the black koi fish's eyes glowing before Aang went into the water.

I like season 1 of this show, but I love seasons 2 & 3. Absolutely cannot wait to dive into the rest of this show with you!

Frankie Crews

Wow, that was outstanding. The hooks are entirely in me now. I can't wait to see where this goes from here.

So now that you're done with Avatar season 1, are you gonna take a break and try another show (maybe Band of Brothers) or go straight into Season 2? Season 2 introduces the single best character of the show, so I can totally understand wanting to dive right it. But I also get wanting to space it out, and see something else while you build up to season 2.

For some weird reason I have to keep re-adjusting my videos when doing full length, was especially bad with HotD ^^ Dunno why, is PAL and NTSC still a thing in the digital streaming age that we are in now? Dunno what else it could be, everything looked smooth, no frame skips or buffering. In BSG her video kept getting before mine, in HotD it was the opposite, just much faster difference ^^ Maybe it's a common issue, I'm new to full lengths, Funnylilgal is my first. Love how she talks before and after the videos. many reactors just watch and does promotions. Keep being awesome <3

Thank you for that "Dagobah?!" comment that made me laugh Angela, I needed that because the rest of the episode was pretty heavy, oof. Place definitely had the vibes, that was a great call. That monster would've definitely stolen your face in 0.5 seconds flat 😂 I swear we can HEAR your eye rolls sometimes, that's how expressive you are. It would've gotten me with one of those sharp turn around at some point, pretty creepy. I was worried for Aang because he's pretty expressive too but that boy has nerves of steel! Great season finale and I'm very much looking forward to season 2!

Special note: You've seen Azula before. During the episode where you see Zuko beaten by his father the view turns to Uncle Iroh in the audience, looking concerned. There's a young girl sitting next to him with an expression of vicious glee. That's Azula.

Geno

I have a theory that Yue's father knew her and Sokka loved each other and that's why he pulled him off the mission to guard her... so she can spend her final moments with someone she genuinely loves and is loved by.
