Hey! I’ve been loving your reactions to avatar, they are the highlight of my day :) I was just wondering If after you finish ATLA you are going to continue on and watch legend of Korra! I love that series ALMOST as much as this one!

Byron

Definite Dagoba vibes with the swamp. Tai Li and Mai provide needed foils to Azula (kind of like how Iroh is a foil to Zuko) and the three are a lot of fun (to the extent that you can call them fun) and pose a bigger threat as a team. Love your analysis and insight as always!

Frankie Crews

😭too much stuff to watch this weekend. Where can I squeeze in a couple more hours?

Jasmine

i view the jing as like philosophy or fighting dispositions. attacking/defending/observing. i dont see it as good or bad with some kind of morality, more akin to yin yang if it were applied to fighting, or the various force fighting styles in starwars if youre familier. aang is clearly defensive whereas zuzu is offensive. to weild an element you have to understand the mindset of the element. think back jeong jeong and his understanding of fire. aang did not have the discipline or understood the jing to weild it safely or respectfully. you can bend with many/every jing but for whatever reason bumi feels aang must learn earthbending from a nuetral/patient fighter. maybe because aang is skilled defensivly but when he strikes I often see it as impulsive and reactionary, not very patient

There is a pretty cool fan theory about avatar. That it is set in the future after a devastating nuclear war. That's why the animals are all mixed.

Richard Flores

Ha, glad to see that epilogue. Like I said earlier, those credits are a jam. Doesn't even matter if the reactor is on the first part of a 2 part cliffhanger and freaking out, its like "Yeah, I KNOW you are watching the next one immediately, I'll catch you in a minute. I got some head to bob and some shoulders to roll right now."

MoulinNoir

lmao living for the little grunty dance at the end XD

Justin m

"he doesn't believe in mystical things, but his girlfriend became the moon spirit........" lmao that thought never crossed my mind.

SummitSummit

And the flying pig! Don't forget about the giggling girl's flying pig friend. I nearly fell off my chair at the dance party.

I love this episode, I love that they say we are all cut from the same tree, as someone who literally and physically is incapable of understanding random hate its such a great line because it just says all thats important, no matter how much we evolved now, we still came from the same thing, and we are still the same creatures with similar problems.

Ahh good old Mr. Science and Reason Lover
