Hello, everyone!

Pretty simple Progress Report for this week. I'm just about back to where I was in the Frozen video before I went to fix up the outfits and incidentally broke everything. I've gotten the first 20 project files reprocessed, with only 4 more left to go. It'll definitely all be done by tomorrow.

At that point, I will have all of the outfits applied and all of the audio installed. I have already elected I'm not going to lip-sync what little dialogue there is, as part of my larger "leave the animation untouched, and up for someone else to finish if they want to" ethos for the project.

Which means that the next step is to finally start the render. As I believe I detailed previously (and I certainly detailed over on Bluesky), I have decided that I am going to do a 2160p low-quality render for the video. My tests showed that 2160p low-quality will only take about twice as long as the 720p low-quality, and looks magnitudes better. My napkin math put this at 160 hours of rendering on my main machine, which is 6 and a half days of non-stop rendering.

Realistically, I am not going to have it run nonstop on my main machine. As such, the next step that I will begin looking into on Wednesday will be shuttling everything over to my rendering machine (assuming the fucker even turns on - which is a very real concern). The goal there is to have that thing kicking out renders 24/7, while my main machine joins in the fun whenever I am not using the machine (so sleeping, shopping, eating, general out-and-about'ing, etc). I have no idea how long it will take to finally render. We'll figure that out as we get there.

Beyond Frozen, there has been some progress on both the Primordium and Pharmmetra Micros. For Pharmmetra, MidnightDatura has sent in her Symmetra audio; I have not yet heard back from either Bordeaux or Milly yet. If I haven't heard anything by the time I go to bed on Wednesday, I intend to poke the both of them and just see what's what. Nothing pressuring, just a general request for an update on how things are faring and if we need to make any adjustments to the schedule.

On the Primordium front, I have finally formally written out Episode 2 of the Arc. Despite being mechanically and thematically simpler than Episode 1, it actually ended up being more narratively interesting, as Yennefer and Ciri banter a bit about Yen's obsession with anal. Despite Yennefer's animation being mechanically the simplest, with it just being disembodied dicks plowing her butt, the thematic nature of it allows for a simple and natural progression, and I am actually quite pleased with how it turned out.

It also serves as a platform for beginning to establish Ciri's more pretentious attitude toward sex, which relieves the narrative pressure on Episode 3, which I still need to rewrite. With Episode 2 in tow though, I have a more direct throughline I can follow. I'm still not certain exactly how I will tackle all of the quandaries that Ciri's episode contains, but I am feeling more confident about barreling into it regardless.

And that's really about it! The wheel keeps turning. Until next week, everyone!
