Progress Report - December 2, 2025 (Patreon)

Hello, everyone!
The gears keep turning. I have almost finished Narrative C for Overbreed Episode 1, and will certainly have it finished by tomorrow evening if not end-of-day today.
After that is done, my plan is to go back through and regenerate all of the subtitles for Sequence C (the main Sombra sequence). The subtitles were written before I had made the current Subtitle Generator tool, and as such they have no timing data. So I need to go back and add that timing data, so I can generate a new subtitle video to apply to them.
Afterwards, I need to go through and do the few VFX shots in Sequence C again, since I lost all of that work when I reformatted my PC some time back when I was having stability issues. There's only a handful of them, and they're all simple compositions with masking, so that shouldn't be too difficult.
Once I have the subtitles regenerated and the VFX shots reapplied, I intend to slam the whole project together into one long timeline, sans Sequence B, and see how it all runs together. The goal is to have that available for Patron viewing next week, for those you are willing to sit through an hour of unfinished soundless subtitled video and give me feedback on things like writing and pacing.
After that's put together, I need to finally tackle Sequence B and figure out the changes I want to make to the early femdom flashback sequences. I don't exactly know what I want to do for them. All I know is I don't like the sequences I had put together in the storyboard.
Luckily it's only the first few flashbacks that I need to change. The rest of Sequence B I think flows beautifully, and I have no interest in changing those. So it's a relatively small hurdle to get over, but it is still a hurdle all the same - which is why I have put it off till last, so that it didn't jam up the rest of the works.
And then, once Sequence B is all figured out and put together, the blocking phase of Overbreed will officially be over. It'll be ready to get the whole fucker voiced. Which means finding voices for Sombra and Moira, asking if Bordeaux is interested and available for coming back to voice Zarya in Sequence A, and reaching out to Milly and seeing if her schedule is ready to tackle the big project.
On the subject of Milly voicing Mercy in Overbreed, I am going to put down some strict guard rails for the project. I love Milly to death, and I don't fault her for having a messy and complicated life (don't we all). But at the same time, this isn't just a hobby for me - I make these videos for a living, and Overbreed Episode 1 is a project that's been in and out of the oven for five years at this point, with an hour-long runtime to back that up.
I am not going to let Milly jam up Overbreed indefinitely. The Micros are whatever, I have plenty of others I can work on as she sorts her schedule out. But Overbreed Episode 1 can't be delayed indefinitely. So I am going to talk to her and have us hash out a strict schedule we both agree to, explicitly put up milestone deliveries rather than doing it all in one go. And if she can't keep the schedule, I'm cutting the cord and recasting Mercy.
Again, I mean absolutely no ill will toward Milly. She's got her life going on. But I have to get mine going on, too. And if her life starts jamming up mine, then I'm going to swerve around her so that we can both keep moving forward. I like to consider myself having an abundance of patience in most things. But for Overbreed, I simply can't afford to have that much patience.
I hope it won't come to that. I hope that Overbreed will be a smooth, clean operation, like Milly and I have had in the past. But I am steeling myself for that possibility, and intend to set up systems to hoist things if they go awry. I don't like having to do that, but sometimes we simply have to do things we don't like doing.
We'll see how it all falls out when we get there. But we're not there yet.
Beyond Overbreed, I have finally finished out all the blocking for the Life is Strange Micro Chapter! I ended up settling on six episodes for it, and all together they currently clock in at 17:32. Here is the per-episode breakdown of them as they are. Note that things are subject to change, between last-second revisions and voice-work:
Episode 1 - 2:00
Episode 2 - 2:52
Episode 3 - 2:59
Episode 4 - 3:13
Episode 5 - 2:56
Episode 6 - 3:32
You can watch the current blocked-out versions of all six episodes by clicking here. I would leave to hear feedback on it all - especially on how the narrative focus shifts across the episodes, with the last 3 episodes being a lot more dynamic than the first 3 episodes.
I am also particularly conscious of the chapter finale, the end of episode 6 - I am unsure if I was able to sufficiently bring across the idea that Max has a praise kink, and needs to be complimented and basically told she's a good girl in order to cum. That is, after all, the point of the whole chapter - the girls experimenting and figuring out that pure physical stimulus isn't enough to get Max across the finish line, despite Chloe's best efforts.
Now that I finally have the chapter all blocked out, the plan is to reach out to Dorn and Baku, who voiced Max and Chloe respectively in the last time I fumbled a Life is Strange project (though I am still very proud of it, for what it is - it is just so much less than what I wanted). I also need to figure out voices for David and Joyce, who play comic relief characters in the Micro because there is just a universal law that any Life is Strange fan projects have to have a degree of shitpostery to them. My first thoughts for them are Ivan and Innie respectively, but I still need to get all of that formally sorted - and they may have suggestions for voice talent they think could capture the characters better.
Hopefully Dorn and Baku are interested and available for the project - I would be absolutely heartbroken if I have to shelf another Micro project, purely for voice-schedule reasons. I already have so many currently iced due to Milly's scheduling issues. And getting Dorn and Baku on board are definitely top priority.
If I can get them on the project, then I will move forward with or without the David and Joyce voices. Worse comes to worst, I can cut their speaking roles and rework the videos if I have to.
And then just as a final point, I do want to once again reiterate what the release plan for the Micros are: Episodes 1 and 2 will both be finished and released at the same time, with Episode 1 being available to the public and Episode 2 also being available for the $10 Early-Access Tier (and the $15 2160p Tier, naturally). Then another episode will be released every two weeks, until all six episodes are released.
This means that people watching in the public will have 3-minute episodes being released every 2 weeks for 12 weeks; and people watching early access will get a 6-minute release and then additional 3-minute episodes every 2 weeks for 10 weeks, as they get episodes 1 and 2 at the same time.
And then finally, the $15 2160p Tier will get the unfinished (but fully voiced) release of all 6 episodes, all at once, on the same day the public Episode 1 and Early-Access Episodes 1+2 drop. And then they can watch the early-access finished episodes as they come out.
As the episodes are rolling out, I will be spending my 2-hours-a-day I allot to Micro videos finishing up the next episode, and then shifting over to working on the next Micro. Which I still have to decide on. Once the releases of these episodes starts rolling, I intend to reach out to Milly again about the stalled Pharmmetra Micro. I need to put together another backup in case that continues to stall. I should be able to finish a 3-minute video with 14 hours of work, but, I mean, we'll find out the fun way I suppose.
So all in all, next week's Progress Report should have the updated running WIP of Overbreed Episode 1 ready for viewing, and it should have an update on the full voice casting for the Life is Strange Micro Chapter, who all is confirmed and who all is either declined or pending.
That's all for now. Until next week, everyone!
