Progress Report - April 21, 2026 (Patreon)

Hello everyone!
Gosh, is it really time for another Progress Report? It feels like I wrote the last one just yesterday.
Well, regardless, let’s discuss the usual three: Overbreed, Love & Degeneracy, and other endeavors. As the preview GIF probably suggests, we’ve made some notable progress this past week.
Starting off with Overbreed, Last week, I noted how I hadn’t heard from Milly and that Cinder was hoping to get her audio in over the time between Progress Reports. In a rather amusing twist of fate, Milly sent in her audio for the first section of Overbreed just this morning, while Cinder is still recovering from her infection – which apparently had gotten so bad she ended up seeing a doctor to get a more powerful treatment than what she was using. She was told that it should clear her infection up in a few days, so hopefully she’s doing better now, and will be able to record this week.
Over the past week, I have managed to get all of Moira’s audio lip-synced. In fact, my plan for today was to start building the dialogue animation for her—but that was before Milly came in with the steel chair. Processing her audio, giving her feedback, paying her for the section, and sending her the next batch of lines to record was my top priority today. When you add in the fact that Tuesdays are half-days for me (curse you, adulting-related chores), I didn’t get around to adding the dialogue animation to Moira today.
What I did get around to, though, was lip-syncing this one specific Mercy shot, just for this poster. And if you want to hear the associated audio that goes with this shot, you can click here to do exactly that. Do note that the pronunciation of “Wiederbevolkerung” is absolutely just a placeholder. The Zuricher pronunciation guide hasn’t been finished yet, and both Milly and I fully acknowledge that the Swiss German words will almost certainly have to be recorded.
In fact, Milly’s audio immediately after delivery that line was a commentary of “I am almost certain that isn’t how you pronounce that word, but you just have to say something to keep the momentum going.” I only lip-synced it for the sake of this Progress Report – I intend to avoid lip-syncing any other Swiss German words until we get the final pronunciations and recordings sorted out. No point lip-syncing audio that I know I am going to have to scrap and lip-sync again later.
So after a few weeks of everything sitting awkwardly waiting for audio to come in, the gears are definitely spinning up to speed now. I’m very excited to hear everything coming alive – and I have already seen that I am going to have to adjust the timings on quite a few things to fit the audio. But that is par the course, and is a big reason why I am doing all of the narrative audio first. It’s a lot easier to adjust narrative audio than it is to adjust dub audio.

Following up with Love & Degeneracy, you all likely saw that Episode 4 went into Early Access this past Friday, with Episode 3 going public at the same time. Over the weekend, I have gotten Episode 5 fully lip-synced (both dialogue and non-dialogue). My original plan for today was to start building the dialogue animation for it today, but—as I stated at the top—I never got around to it, as Milly’s impromptu audio delivery disrupted my plans for the day and ended up taking all day.
Unfortunately, I am really starting to accrue Micro development debt. I didn’t get any work on L&D Ep5 done on Sunday, because I slept clean through my alarm and overslept by 4 hours. I woke up and pretty much immediately began streaming, when my plan was to get my allotted 2 hours of L&D work in before the stream. By the time the stream finished and I had eaten dinner, it was basically time for bed. And so those 2 hours of work never got done on Sunday.
Whenever I have a day where I don’t get my allotted Micro hours in, I split the unworked time across the next two days. So since I didn’t get the 2 hours of work done on Sunday, that means that Monday and Tuesday each get 3 hours of work—their 2 hours of allotted work, plus 1 hour each to make up for the 2 hours not done on Sunday.
Now throw in that I didn’t get any work done today (Tuesday, for posterity), that’s another 2 hours that needs to get shifted. Which means that Wednesday needs to get a whopping 4 hours of work in, and Thursday needs to get 3 hours in. All of which, naturally, cuts into how much work I can get done on other things—notably Overbreed.
But, alas, it is what it is. The Micros are on a strict release schedule, and the other things aren’t. We carry on.
At any rate, I am aspiring to have all of the core work done on L&D Ep5 by end of day Friday. I am hoping to just having lighting and camera choreo left to do at that point, with all of the lip-sync done (already there!), all of the dialogue animation done, all of the detail animation done, and with the bed model replaced and properly animated. Oh, and of course, with all the water bottles and energy drinks scattered around.

When it comes to other endeavors, there’s really two main ones I’ve been tinkering on this week. The first is that I am slowly putting together a timeline of all the planned Micro Chapters I have for both this year and next year. I have, of course, mentioned several times that this year is all booked out with Chapters that I already have either entirely or mostly animated: Love and Degeneracy (obviously), To Bond And Breed (Pharmmetra), A Short Love Story (Marie/Honoka), and Primordium.
But I feel like it’s easy to miss the text descriptions of them, and that it would be more beneficial to have an infographic describing this. And so, I have been putting together posters for them. So far, I have two posters completed for this year’s four Chapters, with unfinished posters for the other two. I have also finished a poster for next year’s plans. Rather than say it, I’ll just show it.
Beyond Demonseed, I also have aspirations to do a Corsair chapter and a Roamer Wanderer Nomad Vagabond chapter. I’m not sure what the fourth chapter next year will be. Maybe another Love and Degeneracy? Maybe an adaptation of Rabbit.Hole into a Series? All things being equal, I’d like for next year to be the Year of the Original Characters, but I don’t know if I have any other OCs that are developed enough to launch a series with.
Speaking of Roamer Wanderer Nomad Vagabond, I also did some very brief work on Suki over the weekend. Specifically, I decided to experiment on tearing the sleeves off her leather jacket and turning it into a vest, to better showcase her tattoo sleeves. I also shortened the vest, to better show off her back tattoos, which ended up being surprisingly involved as I had to reorganize her textures a bit to account for a pocket that was otherwise too high up on the vest once the UVs were adjusted.
At first, I was unsure of it. On the one hand, I really like Suki’s tattoos and feel it’s wasteful to cover them up. I’ve been similarly debating giving her some leather shorts, to better show off her leg tattoos as well. On the other hand, though, she is a biker, and having thick leathers that cover the arms and legs is a reasonable thing to do as a biker, to protect both against the wind and wiping out. For the longest of time, the practicality has won out for me.
I won’t lie, though. I’m warming up to the vest. I need to see how I feel about the shorts yet.
Beyond the Micro-related efforts, I have also been slowly drafting together a blog post, documenting my own introspections about what I am looking for in a story, what makes an idea work and what makes a story not work, specifically in the context of the elusive Dva Gangbang project that I have been pursuing for literal years at this point.
I don’t want to spoil any of the particular thoughts on that blog post, but I will at least share the header image I made for it.
I don't know when the blog post will be ready. Finding time to write it has been hectic. But I am slowly piecing it together, at least at a conceptual level.
And that concludes this week’s Progress Report. Stuff is clipping along at a brisk pace, even if my schedule is getting lightly clobbered in the process. We’ll get it corrected. I’m confident in that.
At any rate, that’s all for now. Until next week, everyone!
