So many years later and Raz still seems hurt by the past, maybe for the lack of someone to share it with? 🥹

Missiek43

Oh sweet Raziol, you couldn't help it. 😭

Taylor

It’s okay Raz your boyfriend has killed his fair share of people too :^D

Brooke

Raziol needs a hug. 😔

StewpidShoes

i'm so glad they're actually talking through everything!! it must be so surreal for both of them to reflect on what they remember

Lee

Kitty got in the water to finish him off. He said “hell no!” And fight ensued. Raz ran after they were distracted/incapacitated. Maybe waited in that taller tree from them before he came down and got another serving of ass-whooping in. Decided he was hungry and waited in this tree before farmer guy comes out to do farmer things. Snatched him up into the tree and left him there for later. Wakey wakey! Your life will never be the same.

Iselin

Sulvain asking the right questions. Wild Raz is so beautiful ❤️.

shy

poor guyyyyy oh my god

Alyssa

I was literally revisiting yesterday's page when this notification came in! What an amazing page. I feel so sorry for Raziol, he was a hapless victim in all this--they only wanted Huygens (not that they should have looked for him either). To think if he hadn't seen kitty at all, he might have been spared like Mael was and he would have never been on Hargrave's radar for his resistance to kitty's bite. But therein lies the story! Thank you so much for the pages this week (and every week)--I'm SO excited to see how their conversation continues to unfold!!

simquall

I wonder if that’s something that Sulvain will ask? Especially with them getting to be so open about it, it feels like they might be comfortable discussing that kind of thing. I also wonder if he’ll bring up searching for Vivi? I remember the panel where he tried to revisit the shop and everything was empty. 🤔

Nekochan

How will I manage to wait till the end of the week? 〒▽〒 I will, I'M JUST GONNA BE ANXIOUS FOR MORE hehe (★ ω ★)

I'm so glad to see that feral Raz fought back. I was under the impression he was almost dead and she drug him away and up a tree. 😭

Sang Steppenwolf

I know he's the last person that needs protecting... but holy hell I would protect Raziol with my life. He's been through so much.

saltandcookies

Poor Raziol. 😭 He was such a gentle and sensitive soul. The realization of what he’d done must have been unbearable. I hope Sulvain holds his hand or gives him a hug. Something to reassure him. I can’t imagine how difficult sharing all this must be. 😔💔

I know.....OMG I want to hug the both of them so bad. I think we all would just start crying immediately

Fond Phantom

they’re thinking too much. they’re having TOO MANY THOUGHTS. TALK. SIGN. SAY ALL YOU HAVEN’T IN 300 YEARS. PLEASE.

I was thinking about this. Compared to what Sulvain has done, Raziol’s hunger-driven rampage pales in comparison. 😔 Raziol couldn’t help what he did, but Sulvain seems to have been lucid and aware (in that scene Hargrave described of him turning the freshly dead against their families.) I’m sure he had his reasons, but he clearly regrets it, all the same. I hope Sulvain will eventually share some of his own regrets. Maybe it will help Raziol on his journey to forgive himself. After all, if he can still love Sulvain despite the cruel things he’s done, surely he can learn to do the same for himself. 😢❤️

Don't sit there 😭 hug him for Saturn's sake 😭😭 They both suffered way too much. God imagine that but they don't have each other. Ughh. AAA. Sulvain you need to understand that we all want to hug him but you are the only one who can aaaaaa

Roedii

Poor Raz, everything you know about your regular, mortal life changing so much... he would've been riddled with guilt seeing all that blood How long must he have isolated himself cause he couldn't trust to not lose control again? 🥲

Juliette Wade

Omg the eyeballs in the panel divider!!! I feel so awful for Raziol, there's got to be nothing worse than being out of control and doing horrible things. I just want them to run away together and cuddle for*ever.*

Juliette Wade
>>167390400

I'm also noticing that this also means Raziol was not conscious when they were calling for him. Aigh!

Neko-san

Another gorgeous page!! The blood and eyes as panel divider are AMAZING!! Poor Raziol, he went through so much... And we don't even know yet what he had to go through while Sulvain was passed out

Eibhlin Brennan

Did we ever find out if Ras ate someone important? I looked and it doesnt seem like it but i wanted to check. Poor thing. Not even a Lestat to ease his transition. 😥

saltandcookies
>>167394339

I’m pretty sure it was just a random farmer who was unfortunate enough to be outside at the time. No one who’d been named in the story (if I remember correctly.)

Sas (Milo's studio insulation funds)

I'm now thinking that this story would be way different if Luc wouldn't be so full of himself. We don't know how long he was murdering with Kitty but at the same time, he probably saw a few cases of their victims standing up. I have a feeling that Kitty knew there is something up. She knew Raziol is different. But Luc had this "stupid humans" attitude that he missed his chance 🤔

Yes- those eyes could also be interpreted as a nod to smooth muscle cells, which play an important role in blood flow and whose contraction in involuntary - as involuntary as Raz’s actions during that point in time 💔

Juliette Wade

KaiJu, I respect you both immensely for your authorial courage. Writing and illustrating all this must have broken both your hearts over and over. Thank you for sharing these intense emotions with us.

OdacioChoco

Can you imagine how guilt-ridden he must’ve felt afterwards, and he couldn’t discuss about this to anyone for YEARS?? God, I just wanna hold Raz with dear life. 😭

Juliette Wade

Oh god - it just occurred to me. Raziol doesn't know about the horrible things Sulvain feels shame about. Sulvain, what if you told him you've killed people too? Aigh!

Emily Rochester

Are we ever going to find out who that guy was? It was a HUGE concern of mine way back when. Part of me hoped it wasn't someone important to tue story, but a random bystander who wasn't involved at all is just as bad.

I don't think it's type of a story where we talk about it 🤔 ofc it would be interesting but I don't think Raziol would want to know who he was. (Unless he searched for his own punishment) I guess what I want to say is mostly - the only genre with vampires I can think of where this is explored are thrillers and horrors. And Novae is Allegedly Not Tragedy (🤣) But I've read quite a few times and I read it right now again and I don't think we even got a glimpse of his face or any characteristic. And right now, 300 years ago, I don't know if that matters - i mean the guy would pass away anyway and lots of more characters already passed. This is ofc only my way of thinking of that 🤔

Juliette Wade

And Raziol picked up the leopard habit of carrying prey up into trees. Every new thought hits me like a truck.

Maybe he learned how to bite but not kill. He changed a lot but I can't imagine the emotional toll on such a lovely gentle guy killing people all the time. Unless he is losing his conscious every time and avoid thinking about it shcjdjf

Juliette Wade
>>167501021

That's fully possible. I'm just noticing it in the frames above. Raziol has had a lot of time to try to get a handle on what's happened to him - and to be honest, if he hadn't brought the condition to a place he felt more comfortable with, I'd imagine he wouldn't be so chill hanging out around people and going back to school. My fingers are crossed.

Sas (Milo's studio insulation funds)

New Tragic idea What if Raziol is training to pass NASA tests for a astronaut and be send to space and just never go back... But now Sulvain is back in his life so he obviously won't but...

digitalglitter

I’m sorry that you’re traumatized…. But if it’s any consolation being a vampire is hot so

Ares

I had a dream last night that at the end of this chapter they embraced each other and had a much needed kiss 🥲🥲🥲🥲 I hope it comes true

saltandcookies
>>167536843

I’ve been having dreams about Novae too! I’m glad it’s not just me. 🥹 I can never remember mine when I wake up, but they help me start the day happy. ❤️

Taylor

They’re scary images but they’ve been drawn so beautifully

Zeth

I truly couldn't imagine the shock, horror and confusion. Being always so gentle and changing to that in the span of a few hours

Mangsney

Oh I'd forgotten about the dead guy in the tree when he first woke up... 😨

Lauren Sparks

The drippy, bloody frees and eyes as gutters is SO EXCELLENT for the flashback 🔥💖

Kaiotee

Oh my, I forgot about the rampage, ngl. Poor Raziol💜
