"in half, and{ }deep into his chest." - Something like "bit" or "sank" or "cut" is needed here. Also, when Salvos "{grew} ablaze", I'd recommend "lit" instead.

The assassin's are likely associated with Iron Champions (I hope they are) because they started running away from what we've seen or heard the harrowed vindicators don't run away. I do hope they can make it in to help destroy the iron champions.

Just an FYI, the Harrowed Vindicators have fled before. The one who took Rachel hostage escaped after being scarred by Salvos
