Love the insight into giant bomb

So, I'm about ten minutes in, and Jeff has spent all ten of those minutes indicating that "something" has happened to Giant Bomb, and several times he's been like "for those who don't know what's happened, anyway let me flashback 5, 10, 15 years ago without actually telling you what's going on now." I love Giant Bomb retrospectives: I want to hear all of it. BUT PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THE NEWS IS FIRST! Have they been shut down? Did Trump declare them terrorists and have them deported? Have giant alien locusts eaten everyone? Did ninjas penetrate the dome? Please stop leaving me in suspense!

50 minutes in, Jeff has stopped talking about giant bomb. At no point has he explained what actually happened. He has referred to the present situation simply as "this" without ever explaining what "this" is. Given the backstory he did talk about, I'm assuming Giant Bomb has been shut down, everyone has been fired. Unless it's the thing about being bought by Fandom? But the context made it sound like that happened years ago.

I love all the dumbass shit in CoD and Fortnite, and I love that annoying men on the internet get really mad about it, but I agree that the out of character lines kind of ruin it. Genuinely I don't think the tactical "throwing a stun!" lines matter at all to 99% of players, and the 1% who take Call of fucking duty seriously enough to care are already pissed of about the skin existing at all anyway. I think it would be way better if snoop threw a grenade and said "smoke this" or some dumbass shit like that

I imagine the guy who wants a CoD that isn't CoD is like me and doesn't enjoy battle royale's because you spend 90% of the game not shooting anyone. Hell you might even spend 50% of the time spectating if you're the worst in your play group!
