Glenn and Jeff reconvene to discuss the power of the personal computer, but this one takes some turns. The PC of the early 90s enabled video games to move forward in ways that we're still recognizing in today's games... but it also enabled a lot more bad behavior in the form of wardialing, running a BBS, formatting Glenn's PC remotely when he wasn't home, dating in the BBS scene, and... oh yeah, games! Want some games? 'Course ya do! We touch on the shareware revolution with some decidedly opposing takes on it and Jeff manages to mention his love of Epic Pinball.

Also, uh... should we start a wrestling podcast?

Haha, I checked the timing and podcast title a couple times to make sure I was in the right place. First of all, I had no idea what's was being talked about, secondly, I felt like I came into the middle of a conversation already in progress. But I'm good now, we get there eventually.

For a long time I didn't even know what DOS was and found it weird that half the games I downloaded had that weird icon and some of them wouldn't work. I was probably of computer using age (5 or 6) right when the dominant switch to windows 95/98 happened. My step dad was a programmer so I don't even remember dealing with floppies or dial up that much so it's interesting hearing first hand what the hell people did before web browsers or google. I feel like shareware transitioned to just downloading demos that contained like the first level of the game. Those were mostly what I played on PC inbetween getting full games for birthday/xmas and before I knew how to pirate.

The CIA guy Glen is referring to is William Colby. I saw a documentary his son made of him 'The Man Nobody Knew' which covered his life and death. I found it really interesting.
