We've been building up to this one for awhile. It's time to talk about the year or so that Glenn and I spent working in Berkeley on a magazine called Blaster. It was my first job, Glenn's first "real" office job and I don't think either of us were especially prepared to be around adults! We'll tell some stories about the magazine, how it got started, the people that worked in that office with us, and we'll also roll our eyes a lot at all the 1994-ass stuff that found its way into the first issue.

The video version contains some snap shots of the magazine that I'll attach in a separate post, but once I'm positive that I have multiple copies of each issue, I'll yank the staples out of these and give them a proper scan someday.

Wow. I haven't heard a KPT reference in a long time. Shoutout to MetaCreations/MetaTools, Bryce, and Poser.

I've always enjoyed the back pages of gaming mags and it makes sense they're the prelude to ranty personalities that eventually dominated youtube. I really didn't get mags for hot new screenshots but just that it had a funnel of information of things I wouldn't necessarily seek out in the first place. At the same time I don't ever recalled being subscribed, more so just borrowing from friends or libraries even when they were well out of date.
