As discussed, here are the snaps I took of the first issue of Blaster for the latest episode of Game Boyz II Men. Hopefully I have backup copies of these so I can pull each issue apart and scan them properly one of these days.

Time to go to the coffee house and read up on Jeff's latest Patreon update.

Kristian Binder

Good one calling the audio on 32X Doom “wonderful” 😂

Steven Allen

Well it looks like you boys had some fun at least

ShadowSkill

I’m just a couple years younger than Jeff and bought lots of gaming magazines growing up but I don’t remember Blaster magazine at all.

garret

Amazing! I hope this can make its way onto archive.org someday…

Can we please get a gerstmann goes off x trackmania merch drop? Preferably where you issue me a code and make me use some shitty app to purchase.

Jeff Giesler

Turns out DOOM is actually about fighting aliens from another planet.

Kevin Augustine

That coffee shop article, Jeff, has a vibe lol

Kuno Woudt

Woah, hearing them talk about this on the podcast did not prepare me for this awful cramped layout. (My main lasting memories of what game magazines looked like are Edge (UK), and some dutch MSX magazine I don't remember the name of.... neither of those look anything like Blaster :).

Fahad Ahmed

Wow so many bar codes...

Connor H.

it's very 'original espn2 logo', i dig it

Dave Rivera

Holy crap, the Zangief actor really hated JVCD LOL.

Khadeezy

i'm jealous you got to grow up in this cool time!

Clay A Binkley

Those layouts are sooo late 80's early 90's! A bunch of stuff my brother worked on looked a lot like that. He was in some pretty serious advertising circles around that time. He was one of the pioneers that pushed that eclectic, active layout. Cool stuff!

Just got my laptop and drawing tablet spread out at the coffee shop bar… time to listen to Game Boyz II Men
