Let’s take a break from returning all of these bootleg controllers to the stores we bought them from to enjoy a podcast about Alan Wake 2, PS5 drive pairing, Nintendo’s tournament regulations, Bungie’s layoffs, the Digital Eclipse acquisition, The Finals, and more.

I’ve got the thirst for Gerst, Mann‼️‼️

Microsoft spending millions of dollars over years trying to get good PR and make the public see them as "the good guys" only to pull some insane shit like this is crazy. Pissing away loads of good will for this cannot be worth it.

Hang in there Jeff. Hope the family gets better soon and things go back only normal hectic levels with young kids.

Hopefully your family is back to good health soon! I’ve been using a Brook adapter to extend the lifespan of my perfectly good MadCatz X360 Tournament Stick. That’s a really bad look for Microsoft to just cut off access. I guess I’ll just get the PS5 adapter Brook recently put out.

No solution is perfect but "im gonna talk spoilers about X for a bit" is the best you can do in a podcast format. It takes 5 seconds, doesn't impact regular viewers, and puts the responsibility onto the listener to skip far enough past the conversation to avoid spoilers. I've paused podcasts in the car to avoid a spoiler and then skipped forward 10 minutes when I had the chance. If a youtuber talking about a 15 year old game can say "if the first 20 minutes made you want to play this, go do that and then come back because im about to spoil everything" then people can manage it for a game thats been out for a week. I think you do a fine job handling it Jeff. It might be a bit annoying for you to think about it, but I appreciate the effort. Obviously there will always be some dumbass mad that you didn't personally come to their house and tell them the exact timestamps to skip, but you'll never please everyone on the internet.

Maybe the solution to reviewing NHL well despite no improvement each year is to make the review headline "Its the same shit again 7/10"
