This was handled really well. Geordi accepted responsibility for putting undue pressure on Cutie for his healing, and concordantly, understood where they were coming from when they encouraged him to be more open and why they wanted to cut off his self-deprecating thoughts before he could spiral. He had unintentionally set a precedent that they were responsible for his healing and Cutie was trying to fulfil that role without being qualified. But he also didn't let them off the hook and reiterated that they crossed his boundaries repeatedly when he told them 'no'. It's a great balance of accepting responsibility and showing understanding and compassion, all while not letting the other person off the hook. Really good, nuanced writing here. No one's entirely blameless or at fault. They both recognize they have human failings and they're both working to better themselves in healthy ways rather than relying on their relationship to fix each other. It's such a breath of fresh air to see healthy relationships portrayed in all different forms.

I really love how this wasn't "it's been some time and we're fine now, let's get back together", I really enjoy lore heavy complexity, but also the more 'complexity of everyday life, maybe with a touch of magic' stories, it feels rare to find this level of intricacy in a relationship in audio roleplay content.

Through that whole thing, Cutie didn’t listen in even once!! I’m so proud of them, that must have been so hard and made them feel so vulnerable. I mean, that is a huge thing for them, that blind spot causes them so much anxiety. And it would be so easy to tell themselves they were just going to check in on Geordi’s thoughts for just a SECOND and he’d never even know. But they didn’t. They stuck it out, and that’s really telling of how much work they’ve been doing to try and heal themselves so they can heal their relationship too. 🤍🤍🤍

Okay, I got the chance to listen to it. First of: I did not think Geordi was gonna give them a second chance. Imagine my surprise when I realized this wasn't a closure talk thing but a let's try again talk thing! Second: really excited for the way they're gonna work things through. Maybe we'll get more information about Cuties intentions?? I can also imagine them ending up as friends but not lovers. Third: oh yes, I'm in for the long run with those two!

I thoroughly enjoyed this update between the two of them. The fact that they've been in constant communication through texts. Meeting in a public setting so they were both comfortable. Geordi being able to logically and analytically give reason and fault not through Cutie's actions alone but his own as well. More insight into Ben and a window into how much he messed up Geordi emotionally. How Cutie and Ben aren't the same person. That they are both putting in the effort and they are willing to make it work. But it's a process. One where the trust has to be earned back. This was a fantastic way to reshowcase this couple. One of my favorites because of how real and human both individuals are. Things take time and effort and this video definitely sets a prescident for them to move forward. Thank you for the video and for their story!
