So.. William isn't going to be there. I'm kinda bummed tbh. (This is probably due to issues with getting his VA back or something. But I'm kinda sad.) But.. Oof. So this now falls on Vincent to handle the party. If this is a "Test" by William it's a pretty shitty one. Cause he is setting up the perfect storm.. I low-key want Lovely to go to William on their own and ask him what the fuck is going on! (They had no problem asking to borrow Vincent's Crown.. So I'd assume they have a good standing with him.) Oooooo I’m so intrigued!! William what are you up to?! 👀 I can see the theory that he’s going to die floating around, which could be one case for William’s weird behaviour, but he could also be dealing with something even BIGGER outside of that. If he enjoys this so much why would he step back unless he really HAD to. He may be protecting his progeny from harm by making them deal with the summit rather than whatever he’s going to be dealing with. If William wanted vincent to take over he’d have been training him surely to keep the Solaire reputation in tact after he was gone. His legacy. He wouldn’t want that ruined right? Or at least he would be tutoring vincent with this now. He does everything for a reason. And if he’s old and likes to play the game of the summit as he calls it, he would be there. I think something bigger is happening. Maybe porter came back and told him something and now he realises he has to deal with it. I’m so excited to learn more!

Ok 1) Alexis at the Summit. Sam and Darlin are going to be there...someone will have to hold Darlin back form knocking Alexis's teeth out and wearing them as earrings. 2) something is DEFINITELY happening behind the scenes with William. While ppl have the feeling he is either going to step down or die ( or both) .. I don't think so. I am unsure as to what, but it's something. 3) what the hell is the history between Porter and Vincent? So to recap: 1. Alexis being a shithead - that checks out; 2. William not calling out Alexis - Don't know William very well but based on past stories can absolutely shut down Alexis's bullshit; 3. Sam, Darlin, AND Alexis are all going to be at the Summit (and this is the first time Darlin is coming into contact with Alexis if I'm not mistaken) - I can see that fight coming from a mile away and Alexis's powers aren't going to deter Darlin in the slightest! 4. William has invited shifters with a young Alpha to attend against what can be expected to be some strong backlash from some of the older vampires - I'm sensing some HEAVY lore drop from that situation (YAY! I love a good lore drop); 5. We have a mystery vampire joining us (welcome, Porter) who caused both Sam and Vincent's first word to be SHIT - wondering if the Porter thing has anything to do with William's odd behavior. Cool, cool, cool. Theory time: Whatever is causing Porter to come back is the reason that William needs Vincent to PROVE he is the rightful prince to the House Solare. (See, we paid attention to Sam's little couple- minute lore drop!) * sigh * For some incomprehensible reason I thought we were going to have a fun Halloween party at the end of October. Silly me smh

Seems to me like William may be whipping up a quick contingency plan because he knows his life may be in danger, if this was a planned step down in sure he'd do as Vincent said and train someone over time. Throw Porter into the mix and I honestly think it's very difficult to piece together what's about to happen, but I feel like we might be looking at King Vincent after all this 👀
