This week, I've focused most of my development time on preparing NeonStrip v0.39.0a, the next monthly build.

I’m intentionally keeping this update's scope a little smaller. Rather than trying to pack too much into one release, I want to make sure I have enough time to finish the planned features, test everything properly, and give the build some additional polish before release.

What’s Coming in v0.39.0a

One of the additions this month will be another Adult Intercourse Mode. I’m not going to say much about this one or explain how to access it. You’ll have to discover it for yourself once 0.39.0a releases.

I’ve also been expanding character expression and interaction systems. New expressions such as crying and laughing are being worked into the game, along with additional commands and actions that can be used during conversations. The new crying effect is already taking shape, including visible tears running down the character’s face.

Dialogue is receiving more work as well. I’m making changes aimed at faster response generation, while continuing to expand NPC awareness so characters have a better understanding of what is happening around them and can respond more naturally to their surroundings.

Another system I want to get into this build is an appearance generator for randomly spawned NPCs. The goal is to create more variation between NPCs so the population feels less repetitive as you explore the island.

There have also been some smaller environmental improvements. Underwater vegetation has now been added to the ocean and other bodies of water, giving underwater areas more detail instead of leaving the seabed mostly empty.

There is more work to do over the remainder of the month, but the priority for 0.39.0a is straightforward: keep the scope manageable, finish what I start, and leave enough time for testing and polish.

New NeonStrip v0.38.4a Video

I’ve also uploaded a new NeonStrip v0.38.4a video.

The video gives you a more complete look at the current state of NeonStrip and where the game stands before development moves forward with 0.39.0a. If you haven’t played the latest build, or just want to see how everything is coming together, check it out.

I’ve also updated the graphics and presentation of the NeonStrip YouTube channel so that it better matches the visual identity used across the other NeonStrip platforms.

Thanks as always for following the development of NeonStrip. I’ll have more to show from v0.39.0a as the new features get closer to completion.
